Chapter 18- Emma's Song

*~Two Months later~*
Emma sat in her usual spot in the Crystal Gems' Temple. She looked around in search of food. Star walks in.
"Hey Emma!"
Emma looks over and nods. She hadn't been herself lately, well, since Tanz shattered. She tried everything in her power to bring him back. She even glued and taped the together in hopes of it working.
"Emma, we got a mission update."
Emma's ears perked up. The only thing she had to look forward to is bashing in gem heads.
"Hmm?"
She hummed expecting for Star to lay out the mission. Star nodded understanding.
"Well, we think we found Eclipse."
Emma's eyes widened.
"Let's go now!"
Emma said and headed for the door.
"Emma! You are all set on revenge, you would go in swinging! You could Shatter like Ta-"
"DON'T SAY HIS NAME!"
Tears threatened to flow out of Emma's eyes.
"Do you see what I mean! You aren't stable enough to go after her."
A small tear rolled down Emma's face.
"I am going to go get some air."
As she walked along the beachfront she went over the last two months.
•~FLASHBACK!!~•
'Emma I-' echoed throughout her mind. She was sitting in front of Tanzanite's shards sobbing. She picked them up and held them close to her. All she managed to choke up was
"Tanz..."
Tears rolled down he face. She heard the sounds of fighting outside. She carefully placed Tanz's shard on a small pillow near the window. She went out side and formed her weapons. She rearranged Tanz's flower and bounded down to the beach. Spinel and Eclipse were fighting. You slowly approached as Eclipse swung flinging Spinel backwards. Eclipses looked over at Emma.
"Aw look at poor wittle Emma. How's Tanz? Oh wait.."
She starts laughing. Emma's tear-stained face shone in the dawning morning. Emma swung at her, Eclipse dodged.
"You are in no condition to fight me."
Emma swung again, making contact with Eclipses side. She flied back from the blow. Anger grew in her eyes.
"You asked for it..."
She ran forward and stabbed Emma.
~Emma Poofed~
"I won't kill you. You have the pain of losing someone. That's way more than anyone could take. I'll just let you morn and grieve."
Spinel got up and bounded for Eclipse and she shimmers. Eclipse was gone along with Luna. Spinel picks up Emma's gem and walks over to the temple and sets it next to Tanz's shards.
~Emma reforms~
Her hair was short and spiked at the edges. She had a jacket ,over her signature shirt, with the sleeves pulled up. She wore fingerless, black gloves. Tanz's flower was still in her hair untouched. She looked around the room in despair. Ally and Star soon walked in.
"Emma! Your back!"
They yelled in unison.
"Did you get her."
"G-get who?"
"Eclipse! WHO ELSE!"
The flinched at her sudden outburst.
"Emma it's been a week."
"A week since what?"
"Since she poofed you."
Shock spread across Emma's face.
"B-but did you get her?"
"N-no..."
Anger started to build up in Emma. She walks to the warp pad and warps to a large green forest. (An: This location is one I made just saying.) The leaves where slightly crystallized. It was beautiful. A small tune was sung all throughout the forest.
'Sing along with them.'
•Cue song•
I pirouette in the dark.
I see the shards through me
Tired illusional heart,
Beat 'till the song disappears

She is dancing with tears streaming down her face.

Somebody shine a liiight
I'm frozen by the pain in me
Somebody make me feel alive and. SHATTER ME!
(Slight change in words...)

She has multiple tears staining her face. But continues dancing.

So cut me from the line
Lonely, sobbing endlessly

-During Violin drop-
She forms her sword and angrily swings at the crystallized trees.

Shatter Me!

She flips off a tree and continues song.

She returns to spiraling and pirouetting. Unbeknownst to her someone was watching her through the song.

She continues her dance

After the song she sank to her knees sobbing. The person that watched walked over.
"Hey your uh, a part of Aqua right?"
She cringed at the name.
"Y-yes."
"Do you remember me?"
