Chapter 2

As Emerald and Star looked around the walls. The saw a dark, red glow on the wall. They slowly walk up to it. The ground rumbles, Star and Emerald look at each other then back to the glow. Then with a bright flash a gem flies out. A white formed around it and the person lands. She had long dark red hair. Her eyes where red too, and a red gem was on her right hand. She looked up at us with a terrified expression.
"H-hello?"
"Hi!"
Emerald said excited to see a new gem.
"I'm Emerald! This is Star. What's your name?"
The red haired girl straightened up and said in a unwavering tone.
"My name is Almadine. Please to meet you."
The three of us walked around the canyon in search for answers. Soon we saw a pale green skinned girl. A triangular gem on her forehead, and her hair was like a misshapen triangle. We walked up.
"Hello?"
She jumped.
"Oh... What do you want?"
She said sarcastically.
"We were wondering what this place is..."
"Oh great, curious ones. This is the kindergarten, call it your home. We have rules. Don't leave unless told, don't touch the injectors, don-"
"What are injectors?"
The green woman pointed to a drill.
"Ohh!!"
"And I am Peridot. Your.. Commander."
"Okay."
"Welcome to life... Take care of your gems... Some people learn fast."
'Learn fast?'
We walked around and another gem was walking. He was taller than Emerald. He had dark blue hair and eyes, a blue gem on his inner left arm. He saw us and walked over.
"Hi!"
Emerald said.
"Hello. Who are you?"
"I am Emerald, this is Star, and that's Almadine."
Star and Almadine nodded in acknowledgement.
"I am Tanzanite."
"Nice to meet you!"
"Nice to meet you too."
We all found rocks to sit on and started talking. Emerald, Star, and Almadine explained what they learned from Peridot.
"Kinda strict here... don't ya think?"
They all nodded in agreement.
While they continued talking about what it was like seeing everything, a gem was walking by. He was tall, muscular and his eyes, and hair was a dark gold look. His hair was crazy and pointed out everywhere. A gem was on his knee. He walks over to us.
"Hello... I'm Piorite."
He says and starts laughing.
(An: Get it? Piorite is fools gold! XD)
"Who's the dumb blue?"
"He is Tanzanite and he is NOT dumb."
Emerald said quite harshly.
"Sorry..." He starts chuckling again.
"Wait... No I'm not..."
He bursts out laughing.
"Hey dumb blue... er Tanzi- whatever... what's tall blue and stupid...."
Piorite starts giggling.
"You..."
He bursts out laughing. Emerald stands up and her gem glows, she brings out a long green sword. Piorite stopped laughing, everyone was staring.
"I said he isn't dumb. Leave.... NOW.."
Piorite scrambles to his feet and bolts away from everyone. Emerald looks at her sword in dumbfounded shock.
"How?"
"Uh Emerald your gem...."
Almadine said. Emerald looked down at her hip/gem, It was still glowing. Emerald swung her left arm up against the gem and a giant green shield formed.
"Wooooow."
