Harry's POV

It's almost 9:30. I thought, as I tapped my foot impatiently on the floorboard.

Whatever it is they're discussing better hurry the hell up.

For some reason ever since the party, I've been afraid of leaving her alone. That maybe once I did she would stay there and never come back. God I hoped she didn't.

I loved her too much for her to leave me.

But even as I sat here, thinking about this, I kept having the same feeling. I know I was probably being ridiculous any other time, but this time was different.

I tried to convince her to let me stay, but she practically pushed me back into the car. Making my uneasy feeling ever more uneasy.

There was something going on here.......I could feel it.

As I tapped my fingers along the wheel I kept hearing my subconscious irritating me. She's probably lying.....she didn't forgive you........she doesn't love you anymore.

By then I couldn't take it. Being trapped in a car with only my thoughts to keep me company. But pretty soon that didn't matter as I reached down to answer my phone.

It was Rose.

"Rose? Are you OK? Do you want me to come pick you up?"

She was silent for a moment.

"Uh...yeah." She sniffled. "Yeah I'm ready to go."

"Rose are you crying?" I asked. Listening to the phone fumble in her hands.

Silence. Which only made me worry even more.

Before I gave her a chance to speak I did...

"Rose I'm coming to get you."

I quickly hung up the phone, racing onto the road. I couldn't think straight as I imagined her sad and broken face as she wept by the river. Her eyes red and her lips swollen with her fallen tears. I hated seeing her this way........but I felt a little better knowing that it wasn't me who hurt her. This time.

Rose's POV

"He said he's on his way....I think you should go."

I wiped my eyes with the back of my hand before he pulled me into his embrace.

"OK love....but if he hurts you you know who to go to."

I smiled against his chest. "Thanks, Louis."

He rubbed my back a few times before stepping away. Pulling my hands down by my side. He smiled one last time before planting a small kiss on my cheek.

Well, at least he tried to.

I jerked away, his smile dropping.

"Oh I'm sorry." He said, leaning against me.

I smiled, shrugging.

"It's OK.....thanks again."

He nodded pulling away from the hug. After a few minutes of silence he started walking away.

Just in time as Harry pulled in.

"Cmon...let's go."

I turned around and saw him as he directed me to the car. Holding my hand all the way there.

As we drove along, it remained silent.

Complete and utter silence. I decided against mentioning the news to him now as he focused his attention on the road. His knuckles whitening by his grip on the wheel. I didn't know why he was so....irritant. But I chose not to ask him about that either. Creating the unanticipated silence that filled the car.
