Chap.8

Mom shook me awake this morning, "Get up now!" She said.

My eyes widened I was really confused. It was 3:00 in the morning! What was she thinking! But then I remember we're leaving for worlds today!

I quickly jumped out of bed and put on my outfit that I laid out last night then I rushed upstairs for a snack. Roisin was already up there and ready to go and so was Shayla wow they're fast!

"Good morning Emma! You're gonna have to eat a really fast little snack because we're leaving at  4:15. I checked the time. It was 3:31 now, so we had about 45 minutes until we left, so I just grabbed some granola bars and like the whole box of cocoa puffs and went to keep packing, but mostly to put stuff in the car.

"Hey Roisin!" I say, when we were outside packing the car.

"Hey Emma." I could tell she wasn't happy.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"No there is something wrong I can tell."
"No."
"Really?"
"Well it's just that I really want to do well at worlds, I just have terrible confidence."
"Don't worry! Just try not to stress out!"
"Ok. Thanks."

We finally got some breakfast at Starbucks when we got to the terminal. I check the time on my phone, 5:30. We were boarding in about 15 minutes.

"So when we get there, you two and Shannon are meeting up. You can go check out the venue if you want, then we're all going out to dinner, ok?" Mom said, breaking a little silence.

"Ok."

The plain ride was long, but it felt short. Mom and Shayla sat together while Roisin and I sat alone a seat across. The good thing was, there were three seats in a row, but the third person wasn't there or something, so we got an extra seat!

We were finally about 10 minutes or less from landing, and the pilot or whoever does that thing, turned the seat belt key off, cause we were in Glasgow! Beautiful buildings towered upon us, and everything looked gorgeous! People scattered across the cities getting from here to there, and there to here!

When we finally landed, we stood up, and that was when I really realized how long we'd been on the plain for!

We were staying at the Ritz-Carlton, so it was really nice when we walked in. Mom checked in, and we went up to our room. It was huge! It had two king-sized beds and mom said that her and Shayla will sleep together and we can sleep together and the beds are in two different rooms! When you walk in, there is our bed, a night stand, TV, coffee table, mirror, and a couch, and pretty much the same thing in the other room, just with a bathroom.

I would talk more, but then I fell asleep.
