Tris.
"This," My eyes widen and a smirk falls onto my face. "Is actually pretty impressive."
I was expecting some sort of log or tree stump that we'd sit on and Tobias would end up killing a 'werewolf' for us to eat; but this place is actually a cafeteria. But of course practically everything here is wooden.
This place reminds me of that cafeteria set from Camp Rock; that movie Demi Lovato was in a few years ago.
The room is packed, but by packed I mean filled with about thirty people. "What were you expecting?" He asks while laughing.
I think he knows the answer to that. I look up to him with raised eyebrows and he rolls his eyes. "I don't even want to know."
I scan the room and see Uriah and Marlene sitting at one of tables; a wooden circle thats painted green.
"Where do we sit?" I ask quietly, before feeling a slight push on my shoulder as a girl zooms past me. These people seem nice.
"Wanna sit there?" He points a finger towards Uriah and Marlene, and I nod.
In the centre of the room is a buffet bar, and a group of people are crowding around the centre of it. "Today's special," Tobias grabs me by the elbow and hauls me towards the bar. "Pasta Alfredo, that never happens here. Usually it's like wild rice and chick peas; terrible tasting food."
A small gasp escapes me and I grab one of the grey trays from the bar. "Hey," I protest while beginning to grab a knife and a fork. "I like chick peas."
Tobias fake barfs, before stumbling to the right as a guy pushes in between the two of us. "Dude," I mumble while moving so that I'm in front of him in the line. "We were here first."
With a sigh Tobias places two hands on my shoulder and moves so that he's behind me. "Forget about him, he's just annoying."
No shit.
A small laugh escapes me and I peer my head to the side and see that there are only three people in front of us before the actually food bar is. I turn my head to the other side, and my eyes widen as I see how many people are lined up behind me. "How many people work here?" I ask quietly.
"I told you," He laughs subtly. "There's a lot of people for you to meet. Most of them are just some campers though."
I nod and move forward again, watching as the person that was in the front of the line moves out of it with a plate filled with food.
"We start scouting tomorrow right?" I ask while looking behind my shoulder at him.
Tobias nods, and then pushed me forwards. It's my turn! I smile at the lady who holds the ladle, "Hi."
She just looks at me with a small glare and heavily plops a scoop of pasta onto my tray, and I watch as the pasta oozes out onto the edge of the tray.
She didn't even give me a damn plate.
"What else?" She asks flatly, her voice sounding like a depressed robot. I furrow my brow quickly and then nod towards the slices of garlic bread, although they look burnt.
"Can I have a slice of bread?" I ask, trying to put forth my kindest smile. Although I doubt the last will care; I mean she looks like she wants to kill me.
The lady just rolls her eyes and then snatches a piece of garlic bread and places it beside my pasta. "Next?" She calls out, not bothering with asking me anymore questions.
