Ian's POV

The ringing of my phone stopped me from my frantic state and brought me back to reality.

"Hello?" I answered unsure of who would be calling me and pissed at who was distracting me.

"Hi" The person replied on the other line.

"Shay?!" It was Shay, but why was she calling me and where was she.

The pain was overbearing and I blacked out, after the Calum guy kicked me in the nuts. When I 'woke up' I couldn't find Shay, so I went looking for her. I searched the entire stadium and asked numerous fan girls. It may seem silly about how worried I was about Shay but there was something different about her, something special.

"Shay, where are you? what happened?" I asked frantically.

"Umm, I think I'm about 30 minutes north of the stadium, on highway 43" She replied nervously. "I'll tell you everything later, but can you please pick me up, it's dark" She muttered. I didn't hesitate and ran to my car telling her to stay on the line just in case anything happened.

"Where's Calum?" I asked cautiously, not wanting to push my limits. We didn't know each other that well and I was rather surprised she agreed to go out with me tonight . So I didn't really know where I stood and the limits to what I should know.

"He's not here, he drove away" She replied. What that crazy ass hole left her on a freaking high way in the middle of the night, if I ever see him again I'm going to murder his ass. As if reading my mind she quickly added "I told him to leave me here, I didn't know where he was taking me and thought it would be the safest option.

"all right well I'm around 15 minutes away but I'll have to get off the phone so I don't get pulled over but keep your phone off silent" I instructed before hanging up and driving faster.

Shay's POV

It was dark and emotionally I was pretty fucked up. I had just ended the call with Ian and he should be here soon but until then I needed to figure my shit out. I wasn't going to be anywhere near Calum let alone think of him. He was a sick person that needed immediate help and I personally wasn't going to help him so he was just going to find another candidate.

I knew I would most likely see him before the tour because of my band mates new found relationship with his band mates. But I would deal with it by simply walking away, emotionless and calm. I would not and will not give him the satisfaction of getting a reaction out of me.

"Shay! Are you all right?" a familiar voice yelled from a distance.

"yeah, I'll be fine" I mumbled standing up and walking towards the bright headlights.

"What happened? Ian asked as he wrapped his arms around me. I wasn't sure if that was ok but I couldn't care less right now, I just wanted to go home and have a hot shower.

"Can you just take me home now, I will tell you" I assured "Just not right now, all right." Ian nodded before opening the door to the passenger side and waiting for me to get in before walking to his side. We drove in silence, it wasn't awkward just an uneasy silence.

"We are here" Ian stated the obvious as we pulled up to my house. Of course his gentleman ass insisted on walking me up to front door but when we got into the light things weren't so calm.

"What the fuck is this!?" He demanded in a yell whisper. It had been to dark to see the large bruise appearing over my left cheek but now it was in plain sight.

"It's nothing all right, the damage is done" I replied calmly. I had gotten over the fact he had punched me so it shouldn't be so hard for Ian should it.

"I am going to kill him, how could he do this?" Ian insisted bringing his hand to my cheek and lightly brushing caressing it, causing me to flinched in pain.

"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked once he had calmed down.

"Because it's nothing...really, neither you nor I should waste our time with him all right" I said calmly taking his hand in mine. "I had a really nice time with you tonight and we should do it again."

"Hmm, We definitely should" Ian said pulling me into a hug before walking towards his car "I'll text you in the morning, hey" He yelled from his window before returning to his usual flirty self and blowing me a kiss.

I don't know when we got past the point of being strangers on a date to hugging and texting each other in the morning but I liked it and didn't want it to stop because of Calum.
