The bright stage lights blocked the wailing crowed from my sight but I could clearly hear them chanting along to the song. It was the four of us, it was always the four of us. The bass and drums thumped along to my heart beat, sending vibrations through my body. My guitar was hot underneath my fingers as me and Bethany strummed wildly along to the beat.

But then it was all gone as the song came to an end and the brick walls of Abbi's basement surrounded us once again. The four of us looked at each other smirking instruments in hand and hearts racing.

"Great set guys" Holly laughed, giving fist bumps all around. Taking of my checkers flannel I wrapped it around my waste and stared at the flyer taped to the dusty bricks.

That was our flyer. It was the first gig we'd played and sense then we had filled the brick wall with our flyers and posters. The speakers buzzed excitedly around us as we opens the pizza box, filling the room with a warm cheesy aroma. Bethany opens her school book and started jotting down math equations. Abbi laughed as a string of cheese hung delicately fro her mouth to the piece of pizza. Her feet tapping rhythmically on the floor. A hum came from Holly marching the in time to Abbi beat. Words started to escape my lips and Bethany joined in. This is how it had always been you give us a beat and we don't stop.
