*Louis' POV*

Annabeth has been in the hospital for two days now, and I can practically feel the excitement radiating off her. She's more than happy to get her IV out and leave this torturous place, not that I blame her.

She lays on her bed, head buried in her phone as she texts Talia. Annabeth has been texting her all morning to make sure Talia had the house ready for her arrival.

Annabeth giggles all of a sudden, making me shoot her an amused look. Of course, she doesn't notice me observing her every move, smiling in content at her wide, beautiful grin.

"What are you on about, eh?"

She turns to look at me for the first time in the last hour, giving me a quizzical look. "What?"

I snort, rolling my eyes. "Nevermind."

Annabeth glares at me through narrowed eyes, pinching her lips together as if it's hurting her to think so hard. "You are one strange lad, Tommo."

I raise an eyebrow, my smirk never leaving my face. "Says the girl who's giggling to herself like she's mad. You better watch out, someone will catch you doing that one day and throw you in a mental asylum."

Annabeth rolls her eyes. She shakes her head at me in amusement, locking her phone screen and tossing the mobile device on the bed sheets.

"Alrighty then. If you say so, sir."

I bite my lip and remind myself to keep under control.

"Ahh, I see how it is. Kinky one, you are." I narrow my eyes at her, watching as her cheeks flush in embarrassment.

She looks away in an attempt to hide her smile, but fails. My smirk breaks into a grin.

Thought she get away with teasing..what a shame, what a shame.

A knock on the door breaks us both out of our playful moods. Our heads turn towards the door in sync, each of us hoping to see the same person.

Thankfully, it's exactly who we've been waiting for all morning. Annabeth's surgeon, Dr. Mutrie.

"Annabeth! How are you feeling, love? Any better?" He asks, smiling hopefully.

Annabeth nods, smiling in return. "Yes, the pain isn't so bad anymore. I think it's mostly soreness, really. I slept through the night pretty well, so I think that's a good sign."

Dr. Mutrie nods. "Yes, yes indeed. That's fantastic! I'm so glad to hear that. What about your nausea?"

She smiles sheepishly. "It's not as bad as before, but I still feel a bit queazy. The liquid diet is helping, although it is quite disgusting."

Annabeth scrunches up her nose in distaste as if to prove her point, making all of us laugh.

"That's the only thing that concerns me. You can still leave today if you'd like, but you are free to stay another night until your stomach can take solid foods-"

"No!" Annabeth immediately shouts, cutting off the doctor's words. She regrets it almost instantly, her cheeks turning a bright pink. "I mean, no thank you. Sorry, I just.. I really wanna go home. My mum and dad are flying in soon and I'd like to be home when they arrive."

Dr. Mutrie smiles lightly. "That's alright. I understand completely. It's all up to you, so if you'd like to leave today, that's fine."

Annabeth sighs in relief, her smile returning. "Thank you. Thank you so much. Honestly, you've done so much for me, and I could never, ever thank you enough."
