*Annabeth's POV*

"Miss. Miss. Miss, please wake up."

I feel someone shaking me and I almost turn around and tell them to fuck off, but then I remember where I am. I peel my eyes open and blink a few times to get used to the bright lighting.

"We've landed, Miss. Everyone else is already off the plane."

I look around and sure enough, I'm the only one left onboard. I thank the kind flight attendant and rub my eyes free of sleep before grabbing my things and getting off of the stuffy plane.

It takes a few minutes for my legs to wake up and start moving normally after being cramped up in a plane for eight hours. I pick up my luggage from the luggage cart and drag it slowly behind me through the terminal.

The small airport of Dublin, Ireland is filled with bustling crowds of people, and I don't see my family anywhere in sight. I'm dead on my feet and I honestly don't feel like searching the place for them, but I'm also desperate to see them and get home. I ignore my achy, tired body and drag myself and my belongings through the airport in search for my family.

I search for about ten minutes until I hear someone calling my name.

"Annabeth! Annabeth, over here!"

I turn around swiftly and grin. My parents are waving at me about fifty feet away, and I waste no time rushing over to them. I drop my luggage beside me and jump into my dad's arms first.

"Hello, darling! It's so nice to see you again! I've missed you so much!" He gushes while hugging me tightly.

"Oh Dad, I've missed you so much as well! How've you been?" I ask while pulling back.

He smiles brightly at me. "I've been quite well, just a bit stressed. And you?"

I sigh dramatically. "Busy, busy, busy. With softball practice, work, and school, I haven't had time to think!"

He chuckles deeply. "I understand completely, love."

I turn to my mother and I see tears streaming down her face. She's smiling happily and I feel my eyes start watering. I've missed my Mum so much, gosh, it's been hard without her. We immediately pull each other into a bone crushing hug and the rivers start flowing out of my eyes.

"Oh my god, my baby, I've missed you so, so much!"

"I've missed you so much too Mum!"

Her tears are wetting my sweatshirt, but at the moment, I don't give a care in the world. I'm finally with my mum after four months of being without her, and I couldn't be happier. It's almost as if just for this moment, my worries, the stress, and the heartache have evaporated into thin air and it's just me and her.

Of course the moment is short lived when we pull away from the much-needed hug, and she observes me up and down. "My, my Annabeth. You've matured so much these past few months. You look so grown up."

I shake my head. "I haven't matured very much Mum, just wait until we get home. But I guess I have grown up a bit, being away from home and all."

She only laughs.

I look around and search for my younger brother, Logan. I become confused when I see him nowhere in sight. "Where's Logan?"

Dad's eyes widen. "I almost forgot to tell you, he's at choir practice. Speaking of which, I need to pick him up in around twenty minutes, so we better get going."

I nod and turn to pick up my luggage, but my father politely picks it up himself. I thank him with a smile and we walk outside to the car.

The cold Ireland air engulfs me and I shiver. I wrap my jacket tighter around my body and start moving faster towards the car.
