*Annabeth's POV*
Last night was officially the best night of my life. The definition of perfect, really.
After having such a hard few weeks with my shoulder problems, starting work again, and going back to school, Louis fixed all of that and made me forget about it all for one night. It disappeared from my mind, the only thing being remembered was the beautiful man in front of me with a bright smile on his face.
I stayed at his house for hours, the boys eating a few pieces of cake and some ice cream before eventually leaving us alone. They each gave me hugs and congratulations, smiling happily. But my grin was bigger than all of theirs combined.
I lay in bed, waiting for my alarm to go off, just smiling to myself. I'm not usually a morning person, especially after the late night I had, but with all of this happiness radiating through me, I don't think anything could wipe the smile from my face.
When my alarm starts screaming through my room at the early hour of six in the morning, Talia barges through the door as I'm shooting off of my bed. She's grinning unusually bright as I eye her suspiciously.
"Good morning?" I say unsurely.
"Morning!" Talia replies cheerfully. "Do we have a big day ahead of us!"
She claps her hands before grabbing me by my arms and dragging me to the kitchen.
"I made you a special happy birthday breakfast and I have your birthday presents on the table!" Talia squeals, forcing me to sit on one of the cushioned bar chairs by the kitchen island.
"Aw, Tal! You didn't have to do all this!" I gush, hugging her tightly.
Talia waves it off, rolling her eyes. "Honestly Annabeth, it's your twenty-first birthday! You're legal in America now! Speaking of which, I can't believe Louis got you tickets for America! It's unbelievable!"
I only smile. "I know. I couldn't believe it either, it was so surprising! I want to save them though, for when he's on tour there. They won't be for awhile, but I want to have them when the time comes."
Talia only nods, silence engulfing us for a short while.
"Well, are you going to eat or not? I'm dying to see your reaction to your presents, so please do open them now!" Talia squeals like a little girl on Christmas morning.
I giggle and pull the gifts towards me. One is bigger than the other, and heavier. I raise an eyebrow in question at her and she throws her arms up in defense.
"Talia."
"Yeah?"
"What did you do?"
"What's that supposed to mean?" She replies, acting innocent. Oh, but I know better.
"You got me something that's going to make me feel guilty, you bitch!" I groan.
Talia laughs, shaking her head. "Don't worry about it! Just open them!"
I roll my eyes and rip the cheap wrapping paper from the larger gift, gasping in shock.
"A kindle fire? Are you fucking kidding me right now?! Talia!"
I scream, punching her in the arm. Talia jumps, rubbing her arm while pouting. "What? I know how much you love to read, you're not fooling anyone! I know how much you wanted to be an English major, but you loved music too much to give it up. Your head is constantly dug into a book, no matter what it is, or you're listening to music. I'm your best friend. I know things."
