*Annabeth's POV*

"Louis! Where are those sheets?"

"I set them on the back of the sofa!"

"Well I don't see them!"

Louis rushes into the room, eyes wide and frantic. He searches for a few seconds before he points in the floor. "They're right there. They must've fallen off. Sorry, love."

I sigh in relief. "That's alright. I'm just a bit nervous is all. They're almost here, only minutes away and they've never been here before, they've never met you, and-"

Louis takes my hands, pulling me gently towards him and looking me in the eyes. "Annabeth. Babe. It's alright. Take a breath, calm down for a second, take a seat. You're stressing, not to mention still recovering, and you need to relax. I'll get the sheets and duvet on the bed in the guest room while you gather your emotions. Okay?"

I take a deep breath, shutting my eyes for a brief moment. I open them back up and smile a little bit, satisfying my boyfriend. "Okay. I'm sorry. It's just.. The lads left this morning for New York and I already miss them, not to mention you're leaving again in less than forty-eight hours. You're finally meeting my parents for the first time, and they haven't got a clue I've been in a relationship with you for three months now. Let alone that you're in a famous boy band."

Louis smiles sadly, taking a seat on the couch with me. "I know. It's overwhelming for me too. I never even had to meet El's parents, and I never really went through that as a teenager either. So, I'm pretty nervous about that.. But as far as me leaving, I'm going to miss you very, very much. But remember! For the end of the U.S. leg of the tour, we'll be back in Los Angeles. I gave you that ticket for a reason. After that, we're flying back to the UK. We'll only be apart for a few months."

I lay my head on his shoulder and he snakes his arm around my back. "Yet, those few months feel like centuries."

Louis kisses my forehead, his lips lingering there for a few seconds longer than usual. "I know."

The doorbell rings, causing alarms to go off in my head.

"Shit! They're here, they're here! Louis, they're here!"

"They're here.. Wow, they're here! Already.. Okay, umm.."

"Lou! The sheets?!" I screech.

"Oh! Shit, yeah, okay.. Sorry! I'm on it! I'll be back!"

Louis takes a few quick steps in the direction of the hall before backtracking, picking up the stack of sheets, and continuing. I roll my eyes before groaning, standing to my feet once again.

"It's okay, Annabeth. Just relax. It's gunna be fine." I assure myself, taking deep breaths in over and over.

What if they don't like Louis? Not that he isn't a likable person, I mean c'mon! What's not to like about him?

I bite my lip, my anxiety getting the best of me as always. The doorbell rings again and I know I can't stall it any longer.

I practically push myself toward the front door, my feet dragging sluggishly. When I finally reach the door, I can see the outline of three bodies. I take one last deep breath before unlocking the deadbolt and turning the knob.

As soon as the door opens, my mother grins brilliantly. "Annabeth!"

I grin, feeling a small bundle of my nerves fading away. "Mum!"

My mum drops her suitcase gently beside her and takes me into her arms, careful not to hurt me. I hug her as tight as possible with my left arm, resting my chin on her shoulder.
