*Annabeth's POV*
"C'mon Annabeth, just a few more."
I groan, whimpering at the pain as I lift the weights up and back down. Physical therapy is nothing but a pain in my ass. Well, my shoulder. Whatever, you get my point.
"One more." I lift the weight again, grimacing at the pain. "Alright, you're done for the day. Let's get you hooked up to the STIM."
My physical therapist, Chad, leads me over to a rolling chair next to a window where I can see the telly. A softball game is playing, Manchester vs. Bradford, and I feel my interest perking up instantly.
Chad hooks me up to the STIM, setting the time for twenty minutes. "Let me go get an ice pack and you'll be all set!"
He leaves me alone in the huge gym, the only occupants being me and a middle aged lady named Adele that has a knee problem. She glances over at me every so often, sending me a smile. I smile back before turning my attention back to the game.
"Miss Annabeth?"
I swivel around in my chair and see Mrs. Julie, the lady that runs the front desk.
"Yes, ma'am?" I send her a friendly, yet confused smile. She rarely ever comes back here.
"You have a few...strange visitors here to see you. Should I send them in?" She asks, looking slightly uncomfortable.
I nod. "Uh, yeah sure! Go ahead."
My first thought is it's one of the lads, seeing as she finds them 'strange'. I don't know of anyone else it could be..
Chad comes back in with an ice pack in hand, followed by a few people with black hoodies on and sunglasses. I smile, knowing exactly who they are.
"Here's your ice pack! I'll leave you alone with your company." Chad winks, and I laugh.
The two 'strange people' roll two seats over by me. They remove their hoods and glasses, seeing as there's only me and one other person here, revealing their true identities.
My smile grows. "Niall! Harry! I haven't seen you two in weeks!"
They both give me gentle smiles, and a tight hug. I raise an eyebrow at the two as they sit back down. "What brings you two here? On second thought, how did you know I was even here?"
Niall laughs. "Who else? Louis told us! We got off early today, so we came over here to see you."
I roll my eyes, not able to stop smiling. "Of course. I should've known! Where is he anyway?"
I hadn't seen him in two weeks due to his busy work schedule and my hectic school and PT schedule. I hadn't heard from him in a few days, making me feel a bit antsy about things since that rarely happens. He normally texts or calls me at least once everyday if he can.
The two exchange glances. "Uh, well... He's not feeling too good at the moment." Harry frowns.
My smile finally slips, worry taking over. "What? What do you mean? Is he okay?"
Harry nods. "Yeah, yeah! He's fine, just a cold is all, really. He's on voice rest for a few days."
I sink back in my chair. "Well, damn."
We sit in silence for a few minutes, just watching the telly. I'm amazed they're even interested in a softball game, as all I've ever seen them watch is football. Not that I blame them, it's one hell of a sport too.
