You sat in front of the mirror, applying a little bit of eye shadow while trying to get ready to go out to lunch.

Your daughter, Sage, sat on top of the dresser, that's connected to the mirror, rummaging through your make up bag, in just her princess pamper.

She had always watched you put on your make up, so she knew what everything was used for, despite her young age.

Pulling out your lip liner, she stared at it, saying a few incoherent, and coherent words, that you couldn't necessarily understand.

You watched carefully as she examined the make up tool.

"What's that, princess?", you questioned.

She turned to face you, and you couldn't help but see Devin. She had his eyes, nose, and when she smiled, you couldn't help but melt because she smiled just like her daddy.

She pointed to her lips, and pressed the unsharpened pencil against them.

"Lip crayon, mommy.."

"That's right, baby girl..", chuckling, you walked to the closet, looking for you and Sage an outfit for today.

You heard heavy footsteps coming up the stairs that only belonged to one person, it wasn't long before he enter the bedroom, catching Sage on the dresser playing with lip liner.

"Hey, no, no, no, no..did mommy say you can play with that?", the deep voice asked.

The innocent 2 year old nodded, smiling at her daddy.

He sighed, taking the make up out of her hands and picking her up. She sat on his hip, pouting her lips the same way he always did.

He hadn't imagine having this talk with until she was about 15, but seeing his baby girl using make up was killing him. She was too young to even touch make up in his eyes.

You, on the other hand, didn't think it was a big deal, it wasn't like you were going to let her walk out the house with it. She just enjoyed playing with it.

"Baby girl, you don't need make up. You're daddy's pretty little girl. You're beautiful, and if anyone tells you any different, you tell daddy, and daddy will beat them up for you, okay?"

She giggled, wrapping her arms around Devin's neck,"Okay, daddy.."

He gave her a kiss on the cheek, before sitting her on the bed. He reached into his pockets grabbing his phone. He handed it to her, allowing her to play the kiddie games on it.

"Now that's something you can play with..", he smirked.

You leaned against the door of the closet, watching the whole small scene that just went down between the two.

He turned around to face you, raising his eyebrow before pointing his finger.

"And you..", he smirked.

"What about me?", you smiled back.

Wrapping his arms around you, he pressed his forehead against yours.

"You don't need make up either, you're so damn beautiful without it.."

"Devin.."

You blushed, burying your face in the crook of his neck. He leaned back catching a glimpse of your face again. Grabbing your chin, he forced you to look at him.

"Stop it, you're beautiful and so is our baby girl.."

You both turn to look at the small figure whom was laughing her butt off at the game she was playing, resulting in you too laughing as well.
