Chapter 14

*Niall’s POV*

It had been bothering me all night. Why did Harry have to go and be like that? I couldn’t believe it when he told me.

“What did he do?” Juliet said, concern filling her voice. I let out a deep sigh. If she tells Harry I’m dead, but I have to because she knows something is wrong.

*Juliet’s POV*

“We got a new staff member named Maya. No offence to you, but she was beautiful. She was kind of short, with light-brown, dirty blondish wavy hair and had a great smile, and you know Harry has a thing for girls like that,” Niall paused, swallowing painfully hard.

I motioned for him to keep going and so he continued.

“He took her out for coffee. He said he was just ‘being friendly’. But this morning I was at the store and on the cover of a magazine, there was a picture of Harry and Maya kissing on the cover with a caption that said ‘Looks Like Things Will Be Getting Hairy For Harry And Sarah’. My heart ached for Sarah when I saw the picture, since she is practically a sister to me.”

A silent tear rolled down my cheek and he brushed it away with his thumb. “How could he do this to Sar-Bear?” I thought out loud. He just shook his head sorrowfully.

“Does she know?” I asked him, more like thinking out loud again.

“I don’t think so but it will not be secret for long. Not with Harry being in the story.” He said. Coincidentally, my phone buzzed right as he finished with a txt from Sarah.

From: Sar-Bear

Can I stay in your room tonite?

She was sharing a room with Harry. Uh, oh.

From: Me

Y? What’s wrong?

I sent that while Niall and I started talking. A few minutes later I got a text back.

From: Sar-Bear

Harry was on the cover of my fave mag kissing some chick named Maya. I can’t even look at him.

I sent back a “K” and within 5 minutes she was here, her eyes all red and puffy, obviously from crying.

I embraced her in a firm gentle hug, rubbing circles on her back and calming her down. Hot, angry, sad, and silent tears were falling on my shirt. I could feel them even though I couldn’t hear them.

Soon, Niall was on top of the hug, grabbing my waist with his strong hands and comforting me, because when someone hurt my friend, they hurt me too.

“Maybe you two should straighten this out tonight since the lads are leaving tomorrow,” I suggested and she shook her head. “No, I want him to suffer. It probably won’t be an torture though since he has Maya.” Fresh tears flowed in streams down her face.

I whispered in Niall’s ear, “They’ll make up. Sarah can’t stay mad at anybody.” And he gave me a reassuring nod.

Sarah came and sat down by Niall and me on the couch. She laid her head on my shoulder. She sobbed silently, though you could hear her bursting inside as her chest heaved with big, rugged breaths.

Within 5 minutes she was asleep, and Niall carried her bridal style to the bed in my guest room.

“Harry was probably out drinking or something. He does stupid stuff when that happens.” Niall said. I nodded slowly, not really thinking. My mind seemed to be numb.

“You’re leaving tomorrow,” I whispered in to the darkness. I could feel Niall’s expression change, though I couldn’t see it.

“Ya, I guess I am. But I think we will be back in London around the time you start Uni. You start in September right?” I nodded, still not thinking. “We should be back around the end of that month.” He said. He was leaving. And so was I.

“Niall, I can’t do it.” I said, tears now coming down like raindrops on my naturally rosy cheeks.  He intertwined our fingers and I thought by that he meant finish.

“You are gonna be away. Then, I’m going to move from Ireland to London, leaving my friends and family behind. I will have nothing. I’ll be on my own.”

By now my body was shaking from the sobs that filled my whole body. I was so tired, and I wasn’t ready for this. Just then, as if by magic, I got a text from Maci.

From: Maci Pooh

I need to tell u something. Plz answer!!

I laughed at the nickname her mom and I had given her when she was 5. Oh how she hated it, so I called her it quite often.

From: Me

I’m here waz up?

There was immediate response, so it must’ve been important.

From: Maci Pooh

I gonna start school in London in September

I almost dropped the phone. Why was she coming too?

From: Maci Pooh

Ur mom wanted me to watch out 4 u and I couldn’t bear to be without u. I would’ve cried too much.

“What is it?” Niall asked, suddenly curious. “Maci is going to move to London with me in the fall. I guess I won’t be alone after all.” I said, a wave of relief washing over me.

“That’s great. I’m so happy for you!” he gave me a huge hug, and I hugged back with all my might. Right then, in his arms, nothing mattered anymore. It was just me and him and no one else: the way it should be.

OMG GUYS!!

I know I said I wasn't gonna update again for a while. But this is important (and Andrea begged me bc she hates cliffys)

Liam Payne and Danielle Peazer broke up....AGAIN! What has this world come to? :'( I can't believe it. But I am still team Payzer. They probably will get back together......hopefully......

So I had to share the news. It isn't a rumor, it is real....... :'( (again)

Wait, what about Loki? AHHHHHHH! I want her. No one else can have her!!!

Ok, I'm sorry I know none of us will get her........
