Chapter 3 E.F.H: Exercise, Fitness, and Health

"We've finally arrived", Layla thought as she woke up to the bus stopping. It was still a little dark when she looked out the window, but they were at another rest stop. Layla looked to see if everyone was on the bus, but it was just her and Travis. All of a sudden Travis got out of his seat and sat next to Layla. Layla asked, "What are you...", but before she said anything Travis kissed her. Layla couldn't believe what was happening as Travis kept kissing her, he grabbed her shoulders. All of a sudden she heard someone saying her name. She woke up from her dream and saw that same weird white women from the beginning of the ride shaking her shoulders. The weird white women said, "Darling we've reached E.F.H and it's time to get up and alive". Layla gave her and confused and bothered look. As the weird white woman kept talking Layla realized that it was morning and she was the only one on the bus. She couldn't believe that Collin or Travis didn't even wake her up. "Sweetheart are you listening", the creepy white woman said. Layla said annoyed, "Not really, I was thinking about something". "Well I'm your trainer and our group is waiting so let's get up and get started", said the weird women. Layla could not believe her ears she didn't know how to feel about dealing with this weird dorky looking lady. "By the way darling my name is Stacy Vander, and I started this camp when I was around your age. I was a little chubby then, but I lost all my baby fat and here I am today as a trainer". Layla got out her seat and headed off the bus with Stacy to get her bags. She noticed the group was actually waiting, but they didn't look frustrated, they actually look happy to be waiting. "There are three guys and two girls, so I'm guessing I'm the third girl", Layla thought to herself. Layla was the only chubby girl out of the group while there were two chubby guys and one slim guy. As they made their way toward the group Stacy said, "We are actually doing a trail walk after all of you get settled into your cabins, but first let's all introduce ourselves". The slim guy went first and his name was Hunter, then the chubby guy went and his name was Jared, the slim girl said her name was Asia, and Layla introduce herself, the other slim girl said her name was Sally and the last chubby guy said his name was Carlos. Everyone seemed pretty cool, and Layla was thinking that she was going to make some new friends. That feeling didn't last when they reached their cabin. "Eww I didn't know we were going to be in a cabin", Sally said disapprovingly. Asia nodded her head in agreement. Layla said, "I think it's straight, I mean this wasn't going to be the five star hotel". Sally just rolled her eyes and said, "There better be separate rooms because I don't do well with roommates". Asia just kept shaking her head in agreement with Sally, and Layla could sense a follower. When they reached the cabin they entered in and saw a living room with doors on the right and left of the cabin.

Stacy said overly excited, "The right side cabin is where the girls will be staying and the left side of the cabin is where to boys will be staying". Sally said upset, "Oh no I have to at least have my own bed I can't". Layla just sucked her teeth and open the door to the girls' room. Surprisingly they had four bunk beds and two rest rooms. Stacy said, "Whenever you guys finish getting settled I will brief you all, and also make sure you put on some trailblazing clothes on cause were going for an amazing walk". Layla said sarcastically, "Woo hoo that's going to be so much super fun". Stacy looked at Layla with such a dorky smile it made everyone laugh. Sally didn't like the attention being on Layla, so everyone had gotten dressed. You wouldn't believe it when Sally came out with shorts that could've been underwear, and a sweatshirt. When the Carlos saw her he was the only one giving her the attention that she wanted. Everyone else gave their attention to Stacy as she was briefing them on the rules of the camp. Stacy said with confusion, "Sally, darling I think you have the weather a little mixed up because it's going to rain, don't forget we are in the mountains". Sally just rolled her eyes and shrugged her shoulders. Stacy said, "Alright, now that I briefed you all on the rules let's get started on our trail". As they started Layla saw Collin and Travis were in a group together. Collin waved and Travis nodded his head towards her. "Omg, who is the cutie that nodded his head", Sally said so loud that the birds could hear her. Carlos said, "That's Travis and Collin they're pretty cool". Hunter just laugh blandly and uncaring, and Layla wonder what that was all about. Layla waved back and Sally noticed that they knew who she was, so she made it her business to ask all she needed to know about Travis. Surprisingly, Layla really didn't tell her much, except that they all went to the same school. Layla was getting even more annoyed when she tried to say that she and Asia were both interested in Travis and Collin. Layla could sense that Asia was being dragged into the situation, but Layla just started to walk away from the both of them. Sally said under her breath, "What a bitch". Asia just shook her head and walked away from Sally and tried to keep walking trying to keep up with the group.
