Chapter 30 The Baby Shower

The baby shower was coming up and only Layla knew the sex of her child, it was already April and she had been pregnant for 8 months. Layla was more relaxed, even with her occasional Facebook beef with Keyara she still invited her to the baby shower, but it seemed like she wasn't coming. Lisa hugged Layla and said happily, "Baby you look so pretty". Layla smiled and said thank you, and Tucker gave her a hug as well. Meanwhile it was taking forever and a day for Layla's side of the family to show up. Layla was a little sad that Maw Maw really decided not to come to her baby shower. Anaya made up a lie for Maw Maw saying, "Yeah she had a church function to go to". Layla didn't believe it, though she was happy to see her brother and sister, she was definitely surprised by Gavin coming. Layla hug Gavin, and was very happy to see him, he also brought his sister, with her wife. They were both beautiful, and they seemed to be very fond of on another. Once everyone was there, Keyara tried to come all late and it seemed like she was a little tipsy, and high. Travis looked pissed, as they were sitting together, and Collin just kept laughing, even when Asia tried to pinch him to stop. Layla knew Keyara was trying to steal the shine from the baby shower, and Anaya wasn't going for it. Anaya said loudly, "If you came here and you not sober you need to leave". Keyara knew she was talking about her, and she said in a slur, "Ain't anybody drunk, so". Travis said in a low and angry tone, "Bruh just shut up". Keyara rolled her eyes, and she sat back in her chair, as Lisa told everyone the cake was coming which was going to reveal the sex of the baby. So Layla and Travis went and got a huge white box, and everyone was quiet excited too see. They both sat the cake on the table, and they opened the cake together while people were trying to guess the sex. Everyone gasped when the saw the color of the cake.

The color of the cake was white, and everyone got annoyed. Collin said jokingly "Man come on ya'll play too much, I want to know". Travis laughed and said, "I don't know either only Layla do". A blue filling cake, and everyone clapped and some said they already knew, it was a funny experience. Travis mom Lisa started to tear up and she was smiling hugging both Layla and Travis, which made Keyara angry. Anaya was laughing with Collin now, as they both were watching Keyara get angry, and Asia just shook her head as everyone was getting a slice of their cake. Layla finally sat down with her siblings, and they were about to leave early, but Layla told Gavin she would take them home, and she hugged Gavin goodbye, and gave him cake for Maw Maw. Anaya was sitting with her boyfriend Daniel, and Collin was joking with them about Keyara. Collin said in laughter, "She look through like she used to look better, but she really look gone". Daniel laughed and Anaya continued by saying, "Yeah that bitch thought she was going to come her and ruin my sis baby shower, you know she tried to get some girls to fight me and Layla after she found out Travis was over Layla's house". Collin shook his head, as Asia was walking towards all of them. Asia frowned and shook her head, "Ya'll better leave her alone, she just jealous, but she'll get over it". Collin said mockingly, "And the doctor would know this". Asia smirked as she pinched Collin and said, "I am not a doctor, I'm a nurse". Travis then walked to them eating his cake; with Keyara following him like a lost puppy. Travis said excitedly, "So what we doing for the 4th of July". Collin shrugged and said, "Shit your son, which is my god son is gone be here by then, we might have to celebrate here or something". Keyara just kept huffing, every time they brought up anything about the baby and Anaya had had enough. Anaya was now sitting on Daniel's lap, while everyone was sitting in their own seats. Meanwhile Layla was talking with Lisa and it was about to get crazy. So Asia said happily, "I can't wait to go shopping for the little one he's going to be so cute". And when Keyara huffed again Anaya said angrily, "Bitch what is your problem, because every time we mention anything about my nephew you want to let out air; can you fucking breathe or what bitch". Keyara frowned and said lowly, "What... why you starting with me, and I ain't no bitch, bitch". This time Anaya was up and ready to fight. Anaya said furiously, "Well bitch jump". Keyara just stared and kept sitting saying mockingly, "You need to stop; we are at the baby shower, and..." Anaya said angrily walking up to Keyara, "I could give two fucks". Now Daniel came to hold her back, and Keyara looked in the direction of Travis, and he was eating cake minding his business. Keyara said angrily, "Why aren't you defending me". Travis shook his head laughing, "What you want me to do". Keyara rolled her eyes and said angrily, "Uh tell the bitch to leave me alone".

Anaya was now away from Daniel and punched Keyara right in the mouth, and mind you Collin was recording the entire event. Keyara then started wailing on Anaya, and they both were on the ground. Anaya the grabbed Keyara's weave ripping it out of her head. Layla then came and said furiously, "What the hell get them off each other". So as Travis and Daniel grabbed their girlfriends, Anaya kicked Keyara, and Keyara was screaming for her life. Keyara said in a slur of anger, "Ya'll fucking jumping now". Anaya said furiously, "No bitch you just got yo ass beat by me". Anaya had scratches on her face from Keyara long nails, and Keyara's lip was bleeding from the first punch. Keyara was holding her lip trying to get to Anaya, and Travis was holding her back. Collin was laughing filming everything saying, "Worldstar". And Asia quickly snatched his camera and said angrily, "Stop being an ass and go help". Keyara was now fussing at Travis. Keyara pushed Travis and said angrily, "Don't fucking touch me, I'm fucking going home, fuck this baby shower". Travis frowned and said uncaring, "Shit, then go". Keyara left, and she drove off in her car, and Layla was pissed. Layla said annoyed, "I don't even know why I invited her, shit always goes wrong when I try to be nice". Lisa looked distressed and said, "Please everyone just needs to calm down". Anaya was actually laughing, as Na'Shawn re enacted everything that happen. Eventually everything calmed down, and everyone began to leave. Na'Shawn said excitedly, "Sis I don't want to go home, Maw Maw be getting attitudes and be trying to tell us to go to sleep all early, so can I stay at your house". Layla smiled and said, "Yeah, but call Maw Maw and see if you can stay". Anaya said tiredly, "Well I'm gone go home sis, because a bitch done fought like she was in fight night". Layla laughed and shook her head saying, "Okay extra, did Daniel leave". Anaya nodded her head and said, "Yeah he had to watch his little brother and sister, but he got you a gift".

Layla smiled and said, "Aww that's so sweet". Layla eventually hugged everyone good bye, but Travis had left before she could say bye. Collin said jokingly, "He probably went to check up on old girl". Layla shook her head and said, "Well I'll talk to him later". Layla took her sister home, and when Na'Shawn tried to spend the night Maw Maw said he couldn't, and she wouldn't tell them why. Layla just shook her head and said, "Whatever I'll see ya'll later". The next day Layla was in the baby room putting the gifts away, and she started feeling pains, so she drove herself to the hospital.The doctor told her that she was having a lot of stress, and that she needed to rest more. They gave her a meds, but it didn't help much. So she went back home and followed what the doctor told her to do. Layla was tired; if she wasn't working then she was at the doctors, or looking for things for her child. Layla thought to herself as she was lying down, "I haven't even had time to think of my child's name, or if I would let them have my last name". Layla knew that Travis had done her wrong in the past, she just didn't know if she wanted the baby to have Travis's last name.
