Chapter 16 Moment in Time

Layla had woken up in the bed wirh Travis holding her arm so close to him. Layla felt like she was getting everything she wanted, but she was a little unsure if she could handle him. Meanwhile upstairs Asia and Collin were in the kitchen fixing cereal when Asia's phone began to ring. Asia answered the phone without looking at the caller id. Asia said happily, "Hello". All of a sudden she heard yelling from her father about how she needs to answer when he calls. Asia just kept calm, and took John's ear ringing yelling as Collin looked at her. Asia finally hung up once her father was done and told Collin she would ask Layla if she could take her home, so it wouldn't look suspicious. Collin agreed, and started to eat his cereal. Meanwhile, Layla was trying to get her arm unwind from Travis's. Travis finally woke up and let go of her arm. Travis said yawning, "What up ". Layla finally raised up a little grabbing her numb arm. Layla said sorely rubbing her arm, "Well nothing, but you know your parents are coming home so..." Unexpectedly Travis pressed Layla back against the bed and said covertly, "I don't care". Once he said that Collin headed down the stairs and saw them. Collin cleared his throat as he saw them and Travis was still close to Layla as he looked up at Collin. Travis said bothered, "What the fuck do you want". Collin said smiling, "Well excuse me, but my bae got's to get home and she want Layla to take her". Layla was a little embarrassed that Collin the crack head had seen her. Collin just giggled and asked, "So Lay is you going to take Asia or what". Layla just placed her hand on her forehead and said yes. Collin went back up the steps and Layla was afraid he was going to tell Asia what he had seen. Travis moved and Layla got up from the bed realizing she was still in her underwear, and only slept in a t-shirt.

Layla had slipped on the pants Travis let her use. Layla said a little anxious, "Um I'll bring your sweatpants back, okay". Travis smiled at her and said, "Keep them their cute on you". Layla just head up the stairs awaiting accusing eyes from Asia. Asia actually seemed to look as if she didn't know anything. Travis finally headed up the stairs, and started to wash dishes. Collin kissed Asia goodbye and left. As Asia headed towards Maw Maw's car Layla was getting her bag, but before she left Travis made sure he hugged her before she did. Layla unlocked the doors for Asia and they both got in as Layla started the engine. As Layla was taking Asia home she thought it was awkward that Asia wasn't talking. Layla felt like she knew what had happened between her and Travis, so she decided that she would tell her side. Layla said a little wounded up, "Look Asia it was just a moment in time and we really didn't do anything so please don't judge me". Asia sat in the passenger side looking confused. Asia said puzzled,"What are you talking about Layla". Layla said agitated, "Don't play dumb Asia I know Collin told you he seen me and Travis lying together". Asia shook her head no and said, "Collin didn't tell me anything, he just said that you would take me home". Layla really felt dumb, and Asia began to smile. Asia said smiling, "So you guys slept together". Layla instantly said no. Layla said tensely, "Well slept together, but we didn't do anything". Asia rose her eyebrow laughing and said, "Really, okay". Layla said angrily, "Anyways you and Collin were together alone". Asia started to smile and said, "Don't change it on me, plus we both agreed not to have sex until we had are lives together". Layla rolled her eyes as she stopped at a light. Layla said annoyed, "Well we didn't do anything, so ". Asia just smiled and said okay. Layla was annoyed by the way Asia was acting, though she was happy that she didn't severely judge her. Layla finally pulled up to Asia's house and they both said goodbye. As Layla drove home she still had Travis' present inside Maw Maw's car, but she knew that she would have time to give him his gift.
