The campground had a slip and slide they did every month ( I had never been on one) so we all decided to go on it. It was so much fun until the 8-9th time.
I was on my way down when everything went in slow motion back and white except my foot. When I looked down ant my foot it was bright red. On my way down a chunk of glass sliced my foot open.
Allie saw what happened and helped me limp up to my trailer at the other end of the campground.
After a hour the military people had fixed my foot but I couldn't walk. No one knew for awhile what had happened. All anyone knew is that I was at my trailer and everyone needed off the slip and slide.
I was sitting on my deck when I could hear someone come out from behind the trailer. It was Nick. He had heard what happened and wanted to check in on me to make sure I was okay.
We ended up talking for hours and that was the first day we became true friends.
The next morning I woke up and my foot was worse than the day before. I had texted Nick and told him I probably wouldn't come out of my trailer cause I was really sore.
At about 2 o'clock I heard a knock on the door. Mom got up and answered it. I couldn't quite see the body outside the door but I knew the voice.
Seconds later Nick walked into my trailer and sat next to me on the couch. My little brother decided we should all play X-Box. After hours of that Nick got me up walking but it was really hard.
That night we played man tracker but because I couldn't run Nick and me sat on the swings until it was time I had to go to bed. He walked me back I my trailer and I watched him walk down to his trailer.
That weekend I realized he was a soft hearted person who was amazing and I was lucky to now be friends with.
