Another long weekend had come around. It was in the fall the last weekend before school started. Nick had decided this was going to be the weekend that he told his parents about me.
Let's start off with Friday. Not much happened. He told me that he was planning to tell his parents about me and I would probably see them around a lot that weekend. Nick had a surprise for me on Saturday. I knew he was going to do something with me and I knew it was not something he could give me. I couldn't wait to figure it out!
It was now Saturday. Nick told me he was going to meet up with me around 1 and he would tell me my surprise. At about 12:45 I got a text "meet me at the fence with your bike. Make sure you bring your phone and you might need a helmet. Tell your parents you may be gone for a bit but you will be less than 10 min away and we are staying around the campground". I had no idea what was going on then. After I told my parents and got my stuff I headed over to the fence. By the fence there was a trail that went out to the road. " So do you have any idea what is going on" he asked me. " I know it has something to do with our bikes but I'm not sure". " You know how you always try doing the bike tricks we do" he said "Ya" "well I thought you would like it if I helped you with the tricks and taught you some other tricks that I know how to do and no one else can do." It was one of the best planned surprises I had had in quite awhile. We got out on the trail and he began to teach me simple tricks like bunny hops, j hops, ... Then he decide to teach me some weird yet fun things like how to stand on my seat, how to bike without hands... it was a lot of fun.
Once we finnished up on the trail we left and headed back to the campground. Nick started biking down the middle of the road with his arms out to the sides. All of a sudden we saw a car starting to come. Nick started to be dumb and waving and making funny faces. When the car got to us I realized it was my mom. She made fun of Nick for a minute and then kept driving. We got back to my trailer and it was 4pm. We were on the trail for 3 hours. It felt like 20 minute's. Nick wanted to go down to the water so we ditched our bikes at my trailer and walked down to the lake.
When we got down to the lake his parents were down there. We walked down and he started skipping rocks. I had never learned how to skip a rock so I stood back and watched him. "Come skip rocks with me" he said. "I don't know how" I replied. "I can teach you". I walked down by him and he picked up a rock. After showing me how to hold it he went behind me, put his arms around me and showed me how to skip it. His arms around me was the best feeling I have ever felt. His parents seemed to like me so that was another good thing. Next thing we knew we had to go back to our trailers.
It was now Sunday. Not much happened until around 7 that night. One of the new girls invited the group over to her trailer for a fire. So we all went. Nick said he would be a few minute's late but he promised he would be there. Ryan wanted to walk with me up to the fire. When we got there I sat down at the picnic table and Ryan sat next to me. The fire started and Ryan tried to put his head on my shoulder. As soon as he did I moved away. Nick had just got there then. Ryan tried to do it a couple more times but I kept moving. I told Nick we needed to go walk in private so Nick went with me for a walk. We came up for a plan to get Ryan to stop. When we got back to the fire Ryan had moved into a lawn chair so Nick sat down at the picnic table with me. He came over and I put my head on his shoulder. He put is arm around me and Ryan's face started to get red. Nick then put his head on top on my head and held me closer. Ryan was so fustrated he left but Nick didn't move. We stayed like this for most of the rest of the fire until we had to go in. That was another great night we had.
