It was done. Canada had finally worked up the courage to end his relationship with Cuba. He sighed and collapsed on the hotel bed.

"Why are you so happy?" Kumajiro asked from under the television.

Canada's heart dropped. Sure, he'd broken up with Cuba, but no one notices him anyways.

"Kumachino... why is it that you can never remember me? I've known you since you were a cub..."

"Who are you again?"

Canada rolled his eyes and picked up the phone-book. He wanted to talk to someone so that he could know that he wasn't crazy to break up with Cuba.

He frowned and flipped through the pages slowly. He seemed to remember Finland being decent enough. He quickly dialed his phone number. The phone rang a couple of times before Finland picked up.

"Hei?"

"Um... hei, Suomi... olen Kanada...?" Canada struggled through the phrase in Finnish. He was the one phoning Finland, after all, so it was only right that he tried to speak the language. He heard Finland laugh on the other line.

"Hello, Canada. What is it that you needed?"

Canada jumped at the question.

"I-I just wanted your opinion on something, but if it's a bad time, I can definitely call someone else!"

"No, it's not a bad time."

Canada hesitated for a moment.

"Are you sure? I don't want to bother you."

"It's fine, Canada." Finland laughed, "I keep forgetting that you're used to making small-talk at the beginning of a conversation."

"Yeah... okay. Sorry. So... you know that I had been dating Cuba, right?"

"Yes."

"Well, I just broke up with him. I... I don't know if it was wrong or not, but I just couldn't stand being mistaken for America by my own boyfriend. Frankly, I wasn't even sure if I loved him anymore. Now that I'm thinking about it, though, they may have been stupid reasons."

Finland thought for a moment before speaking.

"Do you want to be dating him again?"

"Well, I don't, but I don't see why I shouldn't."

"The fact that you don't want to date is enough of a reason for you to break up with him. I don't think that you did anything wrong. If there wasn't any love in the relationship, it would have ended badly anyways."

Canada sighed and shook his head.

"You're probably right. Thank you, Finland. I'm sorry for making you drop everything for this."

"You didn't make me drop anything, Canada. I'm glad that I could help."

"Okay... well, bye."

"Bye!"

After a moment's pause, Canada hung up the phone. As soon as he did so, it started to ring.

"Hello?"

"Hey, Canada!" He heard Poland's voice on the other line, "So, I heard that you broke up with Cuba and told Liet, but he wanted me to double check with you 'cause he didn't, like, believe me."

"O-oh." Canada paused, "Yeah, I broke up with Cuba."

"I, like, knew it! Oh, you're on speaker, by the way. Liet's here."

"Oh. Hi, Lithuania."

He heard Lithuania choke in surprise.

"Um... hello, Canada. I-I'm sorry about him."

"Don't worry about it." Canada laughed.

"Hey! You didn't, like, say it 'aboot'! America said that's how you say it."

Canada burst out laughing and he heard Lithuania scolding Poland.

"America says a lot of things. You don't think that I live in an igloo, though, right?"

"Well, duh." Poland laughed, "And you know that I'm not, like, stupid!"

"Not stupid..." Canada said slowly, "Just... eccentric."

"Yeah! Wait... what?"

"He means that you can be a bit... abrasive at times." Lithuania explained.

"Oh. Yeah, okay."

Canada laughed awkwardly.

"Okay... well, I should probably go. Kumagecko is probably getting hungry."

"Oh, right." Poland said, "I forgot about the time difference."

"It's getting pretty late here, too." Lithuania pointed out, "We should probably be heading to bed."

"Eleven o'clock isn't that late."

Canada smiled and shook his head.

"Well, thank you for calling. You have no idea how long it's been since someone's done that."

There was a pause.

"Yeah." Poland said at length, "No problem."

He heard a click signalling that they had hung up and looked down at Kumajiro, noticing that he was staring at him strangely.

"What?"

Kumajiro smiled slightly.

"Nothing. It's just ironic."

"What's ironic?"

"Hmm... just your conversation with them kind of reminds me of something."

Canada sighed and shook his head.

"You really aren't helpful, you know that?"
