ELENA
I waited for Dean to arrive. Sam had left to go put his clothes in the dryer. Now, it was just my thoughts and I. I sat on Sam's bed and discussed in my head what I would tell Dean. Would I tell him everything? Or would I tell him the main parts? I grabbed a blanket on Sam's bed and held it to my body for comfort. I needed something to hold on to.
I heard someone knock on Sam's door, so I went to go answer it. I saw Dean standing outside the door wet.
"Hey," he said softly.
"Hi, come in," I told him.
He entered and decided to stay standing.
"Dean," I sighed. "There's something I need to tell you."
"You had sex with Sam didn't you?" He asked me. I could see him start to clench his fists.
"Well, yes, but it's not like that," I told him.
"Unbelievable," he said.
He started pacing the room and clenching his fists on and off again.
"Dean, would you listen to me?" I asked him.
"Listen to what Elena? You screwed my brother. What else could you possibly have to say?" He asked me.
"Dean, you don't understand. It was before I met you! We met at the library, and he turned out to be my teacher!" I told him.
"So you've both lied to me! For this long too!" He yelled. He went to go grab the door handle.
"Dean, I'm sorry," I said softly.
He looked at me angrily.
"Do you have feelings for him?" He asked me.
I remained quiet. He took the hint and started to leave.
"Dean wait!" I yelled.
He turned around with a hurt expression on his face.
"Elena," I waited for him to say something about us. Anything about us. "Tell Sam I'm leaving."
He slammed the door behind him, and I fell to Sam's bed and felt my heart tear a little more.
SAM
I walked out of the laundry room with dry clothes and felt pretty good. On my way back, however, I saw an angry Dean storming through campus.
"Dean!" I yelled.
He turned around and looked at me straight in the eyes. I walked closer to him trying to see what was wrong.
"Dean, where are you going?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it Sam," he snapped.
"Whoah, what did I do?" Confusion swept over me.
"Not what... Who," he said.
"She told you about the party," I sighed.
"You two slept together more than once?" He yelled.
"Dean, it wasn't like that!" I yelled back.
"Sam, I don't want to hear it. I'm leaving and don't try calling."
Dean left me alone in the wet air. I watched him walk away with an angry but sad expression. Guilt washed over me now.
I got back to my room and saw Elena sitting on my bed. Her head lifted when I walked through the door.
"Hey," I said lightly.
"Hi," she breathed out.
"So... You and Dean," I sighed.
"We're over. He found out I had feelings for someone else."
I moved over to my laundry basket and handed her a shirt of mine.
"Here, change into something dry. You'll get sick if you don't." She nodded and turned around changing into my shirt.
"So what now Sam?" She asked me.
"Now, you go home," I told her. I saw pain in her eyes. That was the look my brother gave me.
"Sam," she whispered.
"Elena, I can't. You didn't see the look my brother had on his face," I told her.
"Oh really? I didn't? Because I'm the one who told him in the first place! I'm the one who broke Dean's heart!" She yelled at me.
"Elena, I can't do this to my brother," I said.
She started to tear up.
"Sam, don't do this. After everything we've been through," she said.
"It meant nothing. Now, they're just memories." I saw her face completely drop.
"Elena, I didn't want it to be like this. I want you. I've always wanted you, but you're my brother's girl. I can't do that to him," I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.
"Alright." She got up and started to grab her things.
"Elena, what are you doing?" I asked her.
"I'm going home," she said as she held back a few tears.
"You can't. Your car's broken," I reminded her.
"I'll call a cab," she said to me.
"Let me take you home," I said to her.
"Nope, wouldn't want to add another memory." She grabbed her bag and started to leave.
"Elena, you'll never find a cab in this weather," I told her.
"Then I'll walk Sam. Goodbye Mr. Winchester," she slammed the door shut and left. I could see her being completely soaked by the rain. A mix of guilt and sadness washed over me. So many emotions in this last hour.
ELENA
I walked in the rain on my way home. The rain soaked every part of my body again. It cleared my head though. I was thinking a lot.
I've ruined so much lately. My parents and I don't have a good relationship. My friends and I have been distant. Now, I've broken a brother's relationship. All over happiness? I ruined their happiness for my own, which I must say was a selfish thing of me to do. I feel sad, but most of all guilty. I feel guilty that I ruin everything I touch. Why can't I do anything right? My heart aches for this little thing called love. I've felt it, and it sucks. The thing is, I ruined the love of two brothers, and that's something I can't ever fix. Now, both of them hate me, and there's nothing I can do.
I sat on my bed and discussed many things to myself. One, was a vow to myself. I'm going to stop worrying about guys. I'm going to focus on my family, friends, and self for awhile. I need to figure out who I am. I need to pass history. I need to be the person I want to be. This is how I am going to do it. I am going to remain single. I won't let a man cloud my judgement. If only it were that easy though.
