ELENA
It's been awhile since my close encounter with death. Death has changed me for the better though. I've become a person who doesn't worry about risks. That being said, my relationship with Sam is no longer a whirlwind of stress and sadness. Now, I'm happy. Sam is the love of my life, and I'm never letting him go.
I walked into sixth period with a clear mind. School was no longer stressful. It's that time of the year where teachers don't care anymore. All I have to do is show up, and that's not a problem for me. Sam looked up from his desk and gave me a smile.
"Elena." Sam winked at me making sure no one else could see.
"Mr. Winchester." I winked back at him.
We stared at each other. I wished I could just run up and kiss him, but that would be hard to explain to the class. Caroline walked in interrupting our stare session.
"Elena!" She yelled.
"Hey Caroline," I smiled at her enthusiasm over my name.
"I have good news for you," she squealed. She paused for dramatic affect.
"Well?" I asked.
"We have a double date on Friday!" She yelled. I saw Sam look up from his computer. I stared at him wide eyed.
"We what?" I asked her hoping she was joking.
"You, me, Matt, and Liam! Please Elena! I need you there!" Caroline begged me with her puppy dog face. Sam still looked at me with an amused expression on his face.
"Caroline I can't," I told her.
"Elena, what could possibly be better than going out on a date with your best friend and a super cute boy!" She looked at me impatiently.
"Going out with a super hot man," I whispered. She looked at me curious as to what I was implying. It was then that she knew what I meant.
"Elena, please tell me you aren't seeing someone because if you were I'd be a little angry that I didn't know about it!"
"Caroline, I can't tell you," I sighed.
"Is this the same guy we were talking about a while ago that you never told me about?" I nodded.
"Don't talk to me," Caroline commanded.
"Caroline," I whined.
"Nope. Best friends tell each other everything. Clearly you don't trust me." She turned her back towards me offended.
"It's complicated," I told her.
"What could be so complicated about it?" She asked me. I tried to avoid her question anyway I possibly could. She looked at me waiting for an answer. I couldn't give her one though. Relief washed over me when Sam got up and started his lesson. Caroline turned around and faced him.
Sam got up to lecture us. We were learning about something I can't identify. It's really hard to pay attention in this class. Every once in a while I could see him smiling at me. He would wink when no one was looking.
I was writing down notes while Sam was lecturing. I needed to remember this for the test. I looked up at him as he continued talking. He stared and smirked at me. It was that moment I heard a gasp coming from beside me. Caroline was covering her mouth and staring at Sam. She stared back at me with wide eyes.
"Holy shit," she said. Sam looked at me confused. I shrugged my shoulders staring at her in confusion.
"Now I know why you didn't tell me," she finally said. I pulled her up from her chair and started dragging her out the door.
"Mr. Winchester, we'll be right back," I told him. He gave me a confused look as I took her out into the hall.
"You're dating Mr. Winchester!" She yelled.
"Shut up Caroline!" I covered her mouth. She pushed my hand away in disgust.
"So it's true?" She asked me. I nodded my head.
"Wow," she breathed out.
"Now you know why I didn't say anything," I said calmly.
"Yeah I'd say! What if your parents find out?" She asked me.
"They already know."
"They know? And I don't!" She yelled again.
"Car, I wanted to tell you of all people, but I couldn't! I didn't want you to judge me."
"Seriously? Elena, I'd be the last person to judge you. I have no room to judge!"
"So you're not mad?" I asked her.
"Of course I'm not mad! I'm happy for you!"
"Thank you Caroline," I said hugging her.
"So how is he in bed? Is he sweet and gentle? Or is he rough?" She asked.
"Caroline!" I yelled at her.
"Sorry! You're sleeping with the hottest man in the world. A girl can only dream Elena," she winked at me. I laughed and pushed her against the wall. I started walking back to the classroom.
"It's the second one isn't it?" Caroline asked winking at me. I grabbed the handle on the door.
"Yes," I walked inside hearing her squeal once again.
