ELENA

It's May. It's been about seven months since I swore off men, and I've been doing really well. My grades have gone up, and now I'm waiting to see if I got into my dream university, Stanford.

I've been focused on myself these last few months. Recently I've become the person I've always wanted to be. I'm happy with the way my life is going. However, there's still a part of me missing.

As soon as Dean and I broke up, Sam became a new person. He stopped being rude to me and treated me like an actual student. It was nice, but it hurt like hell.

To think that a man, you had so much history with, didn't want to remember you is pretty sad. I'm not going to lie, I still have feelings for Sam. I may always have feelings for Sam, but to know that we will never be together is just a wake up call. I can't wait till I graduate. I need to get out of this town so I can move on with my life. I can move on from him.

It was a Saturday morning, but it wasn't like others. Tonight was prom. I know, stupid dances and what not, but my parents were making me go. Luckily, my friend Matt asked me. I know I'm staying away from guys, but one night won't hurt me. Besides, Matt and I are only friends.

SAM

I woke up to the annoying sound of my ringtone. Anger pulsed through my veins, and I groaned as I went to go answer it.

"Hello," I answered into the phone angrily.

"Sammy," I heard a familiar voice say.

"Hey Dean," I laughed at his annoyingness.

"What are you doing?" He paused. "Wait don't answer that. What are your plans for tonight?" He asked me.

"I have to chaperone the prom," I groaned.

"Sammy that sucks," he laughed. "Any hot teachers there?"

"They're not my type," I told him.

"Which means they're perfect for me! I'm on my way!" He yelled into the phone.

"Dean, how are you going to get here that fast?" I asked.

"Relax Sammy. Now get out of bed and open the door for your big brother." The line ended, and I got out of bed to get my brother.

"Dean? What are you doing here?"

"Sammy, didn't you miss me?" He asked me with that stupid smirk.

"Well yeah, but..." I started.

"I just needed to get out of town," he told me. "I've been meaning to come by for a while now, but I couldn't take seeing Elena here. Now, I realized how stupid I was to let a girl come between us. Where is she? I want to say hi," he smiled.

"What are you talking about Dean?" I was extremely confused.

"Well, after we broke up I figured you two would have gotten together since you two clearly had feelings for each other."

"No Dean. I wouldn't do that to you," I told him.

"Do what?" He grabbed a beer from my fridge and started drinking it.

"Elena, is your girl. I'm not going to steal her like that." He gave me a weird look.

"Really Sammy?" was all he said.

"What Dean?" I laughed at him.

"You're seriously going to let the love of your life slip away because I dated her? It's going to take a hell of a lot more than a girl to break our relationship apart," he told me.
