I rolled over rubbing my eyes, Vic was already up.
“Probably an early morning” I thought to myself.
I got up and walked to the front. No one was around. It was totally empty. I went to the back again and got dressed, I walked off bus and I didn’t see any of their equipment. “This is weird” I mumbled to myself, I walked to the venue doors and opened them. I walked down a dark hallway and finally I saw some weird flashing lights I had my arms straight out to help feel my way around. I felt someone grab my arm, in the flashing lights it looked like Tony but I could never tell. Then suddenly I felt someone pull me into a hug, by this time the lights were on and I looked up. It was Mike.
“Where is Vic?” I asked looking away from him.
“He’s out with Esther and Jaime, It’s just us alone” He said smiling
“Mike, No. We went through this!” I screamed looking at tony with a pleading look.
“Stop, He’s out doing wedding things. You are here with us Guitar and Drum lessons!” Mike said excitedly and threw my guitar at me.
“Careful Mike that was a lot of money” Tony panicked. I laughed at them.
“Okay. Follow my lead” Tony said and played some tricky strings.
I looked at him and laughed. “Slow down Tony, I’m not that good” I said
He looked at me and shook his head. “You aren’t good yet, stick with us, you will go places!” He said patting my head taking my guitar from me.
“Yeah, okay, now it’s time for drums!” Mike said and grabbed my hand dragging me to what he liked to call his office. I looked at him and smiled, He handed me his sticks and I looked at them. “What do I….?” I couldn’t finish before Vic walked in with the others.
“Okay guys, let’s leave them be!” Jaime shouted. They filed out of the door and I ran to Vic. He lifted me up and kissed me.
“Babe, I missed you, but can we talk about something?” He asked me sitting me down on the floor and he sat down next to me grabbing my hand to hold it. I looked up at him and nodded “Go ahead” I said and he looked down for a second.
“Are you hiding something from me? I feel like you are.” He said and looked at me with pleading eyes.
“I am, and I wanted to tell you, right now, before anything further happens.” I said and smiled at him. “I’m pregnant…” I finished and looked at him
He looked at me and smiled; He lifted me up and ran out to the bus. The guys were standing outside the bus playing on their bikes. Vic stopped “Guys, I’m going to be a dad!” He shouted. This made Tony stop what he was doing, Esther looked up at me, Mike and Jaime almost fell off their bikes. Before I could blink they were all over at us.
“When did this happen?” Esther would ask. “When did you find out?” Tony asked. “What’s going to happen with the band bro?” Mike asked. “More importantly, we tour a lot who’s going to watch him when?” Jaime asked.
I stopped them and answered each one of them. “It happened that one night when tony threw me down on the couch and you guys left. And I found out last week, I was scared to tell anyone” I finished.
Vic looked at Mike and Jaime and smiled. “Bro, we are not quitting this just because she’s having a child, and Jaime, we will work this out. Just watch us. But we are going to need help from all of you” He said and we turned to the bus.
“Got to get ready for this show now babe” Jaime said to Esther. We walked onto the bus and the boys were getting dressed and we heard Vic in the back practicing. Vic liked to be left alone when he would practice, I respected this.
Finally it was time for them to go on stage. We walked out of the bus and into the venue; I was tired but needed to support my boys. “Will you be okay here babe, you look tired?” Vic asked kissing me before going on stage. “No, I’m fine. Good luck!” I said giving him a quick hug.
Tony was the last to take stage. I pulled off his hat and put it on. “You can’t lose this, you go to hard sometimes.” I said and he gave me a quick smile and took the stage.
