I turned towards the house slowly walked to it. I opened the door and I could hear my phone go off, I heard bulletproof love as my text message tone. I ran upstairs and grabbed my phone off the dresser. I looked at my phone and it was a message from Vic. I read it and it was heartbreaking, “Babe, I miss you already, I wish you could have come with us, but we don’t really have a day off to go look at dresses, so I guess I understand why you had to stay for a week, just know I love you.” It read. I stared at it trying to think of things to say. Finally it came to me. “Sweetie, it’ll be okay, the week will go by fast, and soon I’ll be with you again, I’ll pick out the dress and surprise you with it when you come back. Enjoy your shows, and most of all, be careful. I love you too” I typed back.

“Hey! Courtney! Are you ready?” Esther yelled up the stairs.

“Yeah, hold on let me change!” I yelled back laying down my phone. I took off my clothes from the night before and put on my studded colored shorts and my over the shoulder Skull shirt. I walked down stairs to find Esther drawing up a tattoo.

“You’re getting one too?” I asked.

She nodded. It was a cute tattoo. It was 3 hearts joined together with music notes around them. In one it had Jaime Preciado in curly script. The second one had my name and the third had her mom’s name. It was cute.

I already had Mine drawn up. It was a dream catcher, I t had 3 feathers. On one feather it had Vic’s name and our engagement date. The second one had my brother’s name. The third had Esther’s name.

We got ready to go and walked out to the car. We drove to the tattoo parlor and hand the drawings to our tattoo artists. Esther went with hers as I went with mine. The girl drew out my design and placed it on my thigh. She looked at me for a minute and looked down.

“So who are you marrying?” She asked me

“Um, his names Vic” I replied to her. She nodded.

“Congratulations” She said and started working on my tattoo.

A few hours passed and finally we were both done. When I saw it I gasped. I loved it; It was everything I wanted it to be. I told her to put Vic’s name in green. She put my brother’s name in red. And she put Esther’s name in purple. The script was darling.  I walked over to Esther and she just got done. It was beautiful. She loved it, and we were both excited to show Jaime and Vic.

We said bye to our artists and walked out to the car.

“Now for the dresses” Esther said and we got into the car and started driving to the wedding dress shop.

“I already have one in mind” I said to her.

“Good, but will you feel great in it? They say you’ll know your dress by just being in it” she said

“Well then, I don’t really know.” I replied. She pulled into a parking space and we walked inside.

I walked right over to the dress right away,  It was a floor length gown with a sweetheart neckline, a long train and the front had a side draped waist, The skirt was split front a-line with a blue inset. I got it, tried it on and walked out the mirror so that Esther could see it.

“Oh my gosh, It’s gorgeous!” she almost screamed. I smiled and turned around to her

“This is my dress. I feel like a bride in this!” I said excitedly.

I bought the dress and took it out to the car.

“Are you going to send Vic a picture? Or just one of your tattoo” she asked.

“Maybe of my tattoo, I want the dress to be a surprise” I said. We sat in silence for the rest of the ride home. We got back home and we walked inside. I walked by dress upstairs and placed it in my closet behind all of my clothes. I tried to hide it as best as I could. I was hoping he would like it.

I sat on our bed and took a picture of my new tattoo; I sent it to him and carried my phone with me downstairs. A few minutes later he responded “Darling that is beautiful. I love it” I smiled and thanked him and put down my phone. I knew that he was preparing for tomorrow’s show so I didn’t want to distract him much. I figured, I would call him later. I was just so excited to be marrying an amazing man who was once my hero. He still is my hero.
