I opened my eyes the next morning and I was lying on my bed in the back of the tour bus, I felt someone with their arms wrapped around me. I looked behind me and it wasn’t Vic, It was Tony. I jolted up, waking him up.
“h-huh” He said rubbing his eyes. He looked at me and said “Wh-what’s the matter?” He continued, I look down and I noticed I wasn’t wearing what I wore when I fell asleep, someone had changed me. I somehow ended up in a bright pink tank top and my music Short shorts.
I looked over at tony, “Who…changed me?” I said slightly confused. “Oh, Esther did, She came back to check on you, but you were still asleep on me and mike.” He smiled at me. I nodded my head, “Did you mean to fall asleep like this?” I asked him.
“Not at all, I went back here to lay you down but then I laid down next to you just to make sure you didn’t wake up, I passed out.” He said and looked out the window. “Where’s Vic? Where’s my phone?” I asked and looked away. “On the other tour bus, the girl finally left last night. “ He said “We’re moving” He mumbled. I heard him and turned to him. “What?” I screamed “But you’re on my bus and Esther is on yours, we have to stop and change!” I shouted.
Tony got up and put a hand on my head, making me flinch “Mike is in the front too, Vic won’t start without us. And Stop worrying, you are here full tour.” He said and picked up my phone and handed it to me. I turned it on and looked at it, I had some messages from Vic. One that caught my eye read: “Hey, Darling. I’m sorry I ran off, Jaime told me what happened, I’m happy Tony and Mike are there taking care of you. I’ll see you tonight. We have a surprise for you” this made me smile. I looked over and tony and with the cutest voice I said “Right, I’ll stop worrying.
We walked to the front and there was mike, still passed out, But on the floor. I turned to Tony, “Let me guess, Drunk?” I asked. He nodded and took a water bottle of the table and threw it at him “PAN TERA!” Tony screamed. The bottle bounced off of Mike’s chest and woke him up.
“Gah Tony!” Mike screamed. We both laughed at him and tony threw his shirt at him. “Get dressed drunk, there’s a girl in here!” Tony mocked him. Mike glared at him and put his shirt on.
Tony and mike were sitting on the bench’s lining the bus and I was sitting on the aisle and my phone rings. I look at my phone and it’s Vic. I answer my phone and put it on speaker.
“Hey darling, Are they okay?” He asked. Tony and Mike laughed, “We’re fine!” They answered together. Vic laughed and told me take the phone off of speaker and go to the back again. I did what he asked.
“What is it?” I asked concerned. “Well, I wanted to say sorry, I knew you were sleeping, Mike told me, anyways, my ex girlfriend wanted to get back together, I told her no.” he said. I paused in shock “I-I thought you were going to tell me you were going to take her back.” I said There was a pause and he said “Of course not. “ I laughed a little. We were having a great conversation with all of a sudden the curtains to the room opened. Tony walked in. “Courtney, We’re at the next venue” He said. I told Vic that I would see him soon and hung up. I nodded to Tony and he left the room so I could take a shower and change. After I took a shower I put on a tank top and my off the shoulder skull shirt with my skinny jeans and my leather boots with studs and chains hanging off the back. I attached my skull scarf to my back belt loop and clipped my wolf’s tail to the same place. I put my makeup on, and teased my hair a little, then tying a bandana in my hair. I was ready to go, I smiled to myself. I opened the curtains to walk to the front and Vic was already there about to open the door, He looked me in my eyes and pulled me into a long kiss.
“I missed you!” He said pulling away. I blushed slightly and grabbed his hand.
“Me too” I said and we walked off the bus. I noticed that Esther and Jaime were also holding hands. I looked at Vic and he smiled.
“I know the surprise” I whispered and nudged him with my elbow. I ran over to Esther and stopped them in their tracks “when did this happen?!” I shouted. They both laughed. “Last night, Esther said. “Yeah when you were over there sleeping on Mike and Tony.” Jaime chipped in. Vic walked up behind and put his arms around me. “Don’t worry, I already know, Tony told me” Vic said and I sighed in relief. “Tell me what happened!” I shouted and they all looked at me. Jaime laughed and said “Well, We sat outside the tour bus while Vic finished talking with his ex and we were sharing stories and I realized, we had a connection, a special connection. After we shared a deep a story from our lives, and she started crying, I took her hand and asked her to be mine” He looked at Esther and smiled. She blushed.
“Aw, well Vic asked me out using his own lyrics” I said and we all laughed.
“Alright, I got to go get a shower to get ready for a show in a hour” Esther said and she ran off, Jaime agreed and returned back to their own bus. Mike and Tony joined me and Vic and we looked at each other and walked to a curb and sat down. Tony turned to me and began braiding my hair, Vic’s grasp on my hand tightened and Mike started petting my tail. I sat there and smiled realizing that I was a new addition to Pierce the Veil. My dream came true. Finally.
