The next morning, I woke up at three. Remembering I hadn't bought any groceries, I let out a groan. No food for me then. Feeling bored, I decided to go to training ground three early. Exiting out of the door, I quietly hopped up to the rooftops and ran along them in the direction of the training field.
Arriving at the training field, I began stretching and throwing kunai at an imaginary target on a tree. Each one hit the tree precisely on the mark. I did the correct signs for Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique) and three of me appeared before my eyes. A silent understanding passed between us and they immediately sprang back. Each of us took out our katana. I would train with my katana during my free time here, and possibly any other weapons. A pair of eyes could be felt watching me and a presence further away gave away the fact that someone was watching me. Focusing on who the person was, I glared at nothing as I realised it was Kakashi. Deciding to ignore him, I chose to get on with my training.
It was silent between us before my three clones charged at me. One swung the katana down at me from above, but I blocked it and kicked her away, turning to meet another clone head on as our katana's clashed together. Using the clone behind me, I kicked her and used that momentum to push myself up into a flip over the clone in front of me. Stabbing the katana into her back, she disappeared with a poof, leaving me with the other two. Sensing two objects flying at me, I spun round and blocked them with my katana. Two kunai fell to the floor. Taking out two kunai from my back pocket, my katana being held in my other hand, I stayed perfectly still, sensing the two clones hiding behind different bushes. Jumping into the air, I flung the kunai down in their direction. One of my clones jumped out of the way while the other one looked up in shock and disappeared like the first. Now it was one on one. My last clone came charging towards where I now stood on the ground. My gaze was leveled and I kept still. As she swung at me, I blocked each of her attacks, pushing her back slightly each time I defended. She stayed on the attack and after I blocked another one of her attacks, the blades clashing together, she took a hand off the hilt of the katana, grabbed something from her pocket and aimed it at my side. Twisting out of the way, I used her surprise against her to slash the katana against her throat. She followed the other two and disappeared with a poof, leaving only me in the field. There was no blood on the katana due to them only being clones, so I had no need to wipe it down. Finished with the training I put it back in its sheath that rested at my side, connected to the belt on my shorts.
After that I went back to just throwing my kunai at various spots on the trees, hitting the mark each and every time. This was boring. Just when I thought I couldn't get more bored if I tried, the presence of three other people alerted me that I was no longer alone. Turning around, I saw Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto turning up. Concealing my chakra, I hid in a tree nearby.
"Good morning." Sakura greeted tiredly, rubbing at one of her eyes. They all stopped in the middle staring at each other before they turned and looked out as the sun rose up. They were looking out for the teacher. I wonder if any of them realised I was missing..... Naruto was slowly falling asleep as they all waited for their teacher to turn up. Deciding that I was bored, I leaped from the tree and landed in the middle of them. Allowing my chakra to show again, they all spun round, even the knackered Naruto, and stared at me in shock and surprise. Naruto fell on his bottom and Sakura stumbled back slightly. "When..... When did you get there?" Sakura gasped.
"I've been training since three but I decided to come and greet you all now. Good morning." I smirked. Sasuke glared at me as he realised that I was more powerful than him as well as able to appear without warning.
"Tsukiko!" Naruto exclaimed, lurching at me and tackling me to the floor in a hug. "Good morning!" He grinned, his tiredness somehow forgotten. "You disappeared on me yesterday. I turned around and suddenly you weren't there. You gave me a fright, believe it!"
"Sorry Naruto..... I was...... otherwise engaged. I won't do it again." I apologised. He nodded in agreement and acceptance of the apology and got off of me, offering me a hand and pulling me up as well. Dusting myself off, I met the eyes of a confused Sakura. "Is something wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong, sorry. It's just...... it feels like there's something dangerous about you." She murmured. I saw a small nod of agreement from Sasuke but Naruto shook his head in disagreement.
"Tsukiko isn't dangerous. She's awesome!" He informed them all, putting an arm around my shoulders.
"Thank you Naruto, but like she says, there is a dangerous part within me, however that came from my mother." I explained vaguely. Seeing Kakashi coming up the road and the confused look on his face after hearing this, I quickly shut up. Following my eyes, all of them noticed their sensei arrive. He was late.
"Hi guys. Good morning." He greeted sounding nonchalant, as if he hadn't just turned up a lot later than he arranged for us to meet.
"You're late!" Naruto and Sakura called to him annoyed, their faces telling him what they thought of his tardiness.
"A black cat crossed my path you see." He stopped when he saw that nobody cared for his excuse. "Let's move on....." He coughed, walking over to set an alarm that he pulled from his bag. "Alright, alarm set at 12 p.m." He pulled something out of his pocket and held up three bells for us to all see. "Today's target is to get one of these bells from me. Whoever can't will have no lunch." He said gesturing to the three wooden posts that sat near us, the alarm clock resting on top of the middle one. "I'm going to tie you there, and eat lunch in front of you." Everyone's stomach rumbled except from my own. I was used to not being able to eat anything as my mother tended to starve me as extra punishment.
"But wait..... why are there only three bells?" Sakura asked seeming confused.
"Since there's only three, at least one will have to tied to the post." He informed her with a closed eye smile. "That person will fail since he failed to complete the mission. The person will go back to the academy. It might just be one...... or all four. You can use your shuriken. You won't be able to get this unless you have the will to kill me."
"But that's dangerous sensei!" Sakura complained sounding astonished at the way her teacher was acting.
"Yeah. I mean you couldn't even dodge that chalk eraser!" Naruto laughed.
"In this world, those who aren't skilled enough tend to complain more." He retorted. "Well, just ignore the loser..... Begin when I give 'ready-go' signal." Naruto was still glaring at Kakashi for calling him a loser and it seemed like it was getting to him. Spinning a kunai around on his finger, he grabbed it and charged for Kakashi. Idiot. He went to strike but Kakashi caught hold of his hand easily, maneuvering his arm so that he was then pointing the kunai at the back of his own neck. "Don't be so hasty. I didn't say start, yet." Sasuke and Sakura backed away from Naruto and Kakashi while he let the idiot go. "But that's fine. At least you came with the intent to kill me. How can I put this? I feel like I'm finally starting to like you guys. We're going to start. Ready...... start!" Everyone leaped away from where Kakashi stood. Sakura hid in a bush and Sasuke hid in a tree, both of them concealing their chakra. However, Naruto decided to be an idiot and went back to where he stood, his arms crossed as he held his ground. Knowing where this was going, I got up from my hiding spot and walked off.
