Cyrus's house seemed...
Huge? I guess that could be a word for it, if you wanted to keep it simple.
"So, this is your house." I looked up at the big Victorian style house.
"Yep." He smiled at me.
I smiled back and looked around in awe.
"My parents are in America on a work trip so I have the house for a week."
"Are they home very much?" I asked him while still looking at the amazing house.
"Yeah, their never home. So, I barely see them." His smile dropped and he looked away.
I touched his hand and smiled, "well, at least your not alone all the time, you have me and your other friends."
He smiled again.
He was looking at me for a while then broke the silence, "are you hungry or anything?"
"Actually, I'm a little thirsty. You know, from biking really fast to school."
He laughed at that then grabbed my hand to pull me to the kitchen.
The kitchen.
Wow, I'm pretty sure its bigger than my room. And nicer.
"I know you probably get told this all the time but, You have a really big house Cyrus."
He let out a deep laugh and smiled, "is water good?"
"Waters perfect, thanks."
I sat down at the island that had some stools at it and waited for him.
He came back over to me and gave me the glass of water.
"Thanks." I smiled and brought the glass to my lips to sip the cold liquid. Cyrus hopped up onto the counter and put his phone beside him.
I put the half full glass down and looked at the elastics around my wrist.
"So-" Cyrus's words were cut off by the distant ring of the doorbell. "Hold that thought," he smiled and pushed his body off the counter. "Be right back."
His body disappeared around the corner and let out the breath I didn't know I was holding.
I tapped my fingers against the marble counter.
"But I love you!"
"You don't love me. If you did, you wouldn't have cheated on me with a fuck boy!" I heard Cyrus talking sternly, To... Kayla? I got up and went to the corner so they wouldn't see me.
"I'm sorry! It was an accident and I was drunk. Please take me back! We can start over. And I'll love you till the end of time, Cyrus." Her voice was going to a small whisper, "c'mon Cyrus, I know you still like me-" she put her hand on his arm.
"Stop." He took her hand off and stepped back.
"I don't like you anymore and don't think you should come here."
A flash of hurt took over her face then replaced it with a smirk.
"I think you'll regret this..."
"Well, I don't think I will."
She frowned and her eyes fell behind him...
Landing on, me.
"Ah. So now I know why you don't want to see me again, you have another girl." She tried stepping behind him but he blocked her with his arm.
"No, I don't." He said firmly.
"That's a lie, who's that chick then?" He asked him.
He turned his head and he saw me.
I stood there as still as possible.
He turned back towards Kayla, "so?"
"You know what? This doesn't matter to me. I'm fine without fuckboys like you. Goodbye Cyrus."
She got off his doorstep and walked to her car, he turned around with a smile.
"That was stupid." He breathed out, "and pointless."
He closed the door and began walking to me.
"Sorry." I said.
"For what? He frowned.
"Eavesdropping..."
"You made the situation easier. So, I thank you because she would probably be here all night yelling and crying at me to take her back."
"Oh" was all I said.
He laughed through his nose then smiled, "she called me a fuckboy." Shaking his head he laughed. "She was the one that kept cheating on me with other dudes and she, calls me a fuckboy. What. The. Hell." He laughed again, but there was no humor in it.
"She's messed up Cyrus, there's no point thinking of her. She's broken and I don't think she can be fixed..."
He nodded.
His facial expression changed so he was smiling, "you wanna watch a movie?"
"Which one?" I asked.
"Anyone you want." He responded.
"Got any horror movies?" I asked hopeful.
"Yep." He popped the "P"
