"Yeah... The project..." She awkwardly laughed.

"Can we talk about this next week or something...? I'm kinda in a hurry to get somewhere." I told her.

"Yeah, okay. Um... Sure."

"But we really need to talk about this project."

"Will you stop talking now?" I said in my head.

"... What did you say to me?" Kayla suddenly growled at me, bringing me out of my thoughts.
Shit. I said that out loud?! I'm so freaking stupid.

"Um. Sorry. I was taking to myself; you know, inner voices. They are always yelling at me."

... She's looking at me like I'm crazy.

"Sorry," she said.

"It's okay. But I really need to go, I'm meeting someone." I told her.

Cyrus is probably waiting for me.

"Okay, but-" Kayla stopped in mid sentence when her phone dinged.

She pulled it out and instantly broke into a wide smile.

"Finally," she breathed out.

She smiled more,"he finally texted me back! He loves me again!"

I awkwardly stood there.

"Uh." Was all I said.

"My Ex! Finally!" Her smile grew and my fake smile faltered.

Cyrus texted her...
Cyrus.

I walked around her to the door; the exit was close, so close.

"Yo, Silv! Silver!" Micah called from down the hall.

I can still get away, as long as he won't run after me.

I heard him running down the hallway, I pushed the door open but failed; realizing that it was a pull not push door.

Sometimes I question my brain.

I could feel his breathing against my neck when he laughed and I turned around.

"Yeah, Micah?" I really wanted to get out of this school.

"Just wanted to say, hey." He did the 'sup' head nod.

"Hey. Now I have to go, someone is waiting for me." I told him, slowly getting irritated.

"They're human, they can wait." He said.

"I'm not sure he is human..."
"He?" Micah's voice sounded off; it had angriness with a tinge of annoyance.

"I said 'she'..." I tried to cover it up, but why? Why should I hide things from one of my best friends that was once my boyfriend that cheated on me with a girl that could be a living Barbie?

Hmm... Maybe cause he hides things from me.

"Is it Cyrus?"

He asked me.

"Why should you really care...?"

Okay, that sounded less mean in my head.

"Cause I'm your boy friend."

He said.

"Boyfriend?" I asked with a small frown.

"No, boy that's a friend. Therefore, boy friend." He said with a proud smile.

"I'll talk to you later... I'm already late."

"For what?" He called out to me cause I was already almost outside.

"Nothing!" I called back.

Cyrus' POV

Me: wru? I'm in the parking lot

I texted Silvia.

I was sitting in my car waiting for Silvia, she was taking a pretty long time...

My phone vibrated in my hands and it pulled me from the thinking state about Silvia.

It was a text from 'babe'.

I thought I changed her contact name... Or deleted it.

Me: what do you want?
Her: my boyfriend back. Plus, you txtd me first.

When did I-

I scrolled up a bit and realized I sent her the message I thought I sent Silvia.
Me: that message was meant for someone else.
Her: oh really?

There was a tap at the passenger window and I turned my head.

There she was.

My ex girlfriend.

The one I accidentally sent a text to.

I had my ear buds in and pretended not to notice her.
Her: I know you can hear me Cyrus

She proceeded to tap the window.

I just tapped at my phone pretending that the game I was playing was the most interesting thing in the world at the moment.

The tapping stopped and I sighed.

She was finally gone.

But a couple minutes later there was a small tap.

I rolled the passenger window down, "go away."

But I said it to the wrong person...

"Um, oh... I thought-" her voice seemed small at the moment.

"No! I'm sorry. I- uh- I thought you were Kayla. She was here earlier tapping the window." My face heated.

Most embarrassing moment ever.

I unlocked the doors and she got in.

"Its okay. I thought you were mad at me for being slow. I should be the one apologising for taking long, I ran into Kayla and Micah. Not at the same time though."

"Sorry about her... Crazy ex girlfriends, you know?"

She stared at me me and I awkwardly scratched the back of my neck and laughed a bit.

"Are you ready? ...For the date?"

"Yep." She smiled widely.

"Okay," I matched her smile.
