Now I wish I wasn't sober

"Uh..."
I almost sprinted out of that house like it was on fire.
Almost slipping from Angela's bodily fluids on my shoes still.
"Wait!" Cyrus called after me.

And he was now following.
Great.
Why'd I have to come.

When I was outside I walked to a far part of the yard and sat at the picnic table that was set there. I took my shoes off and almost gagged at the smell.
Maybe I should've stayed with her...
I'm sure Micah and Alex are with her again.

My phone started vibrating like crazy. Alex was calling.
I quickly picked up,
"What."

"Damn, girly. Calm yourself." I could almost hear him smiling.
"Give me that," Micah said and I heard shuffling over the phone.
"Silver, where'd you go? Angela was here by herself and it looks like she might have puked..." He trailed off.
"I needed air." I traced the chipped paint on the table.
"Want me to come out with you?" He sounded slightly worried.
"Can you take me home." I sighed.
"Yeah, be out in a second." He hung up and I checked the time on my screen.

I felt the presence of someone standing behind me and I slipped my phone away.
"Yes?" I questioned.
I really hoped that didn't sound rude...
"Can I sit?" Cyrus walked over to the other side of the table.
I nodded, "uhm. Yeah, of course."
He had a limp now and scars on his arm that he covered with the hoodie he was wearing.
He looked slightly different I guess.
I mean, I'd pass him in the halls sometimes, but up close I could tell he looked a lot more different.

We sat in a slight awkward silence and he cleared his throat, "how are you?"
"I'm okay." I should be the one asking him that question.
He nodded slowly.
Couple minutes passed.
"How're you?" I quickly asked.
"Not bad," he tapped his finger tips on the wood.
"Not bad isn't bad." A breathy laugh slipped past my lips.
He nodded.
"How-" "what-"
"Oh I'm sorry," "sorry"
We both talked at the same time.
Talk about even more awkwardness.
"You first," he said.
"No it's okay, you can go."

"What have you been up to?"
I bit at my cheek and just slightly shrugged, "Not much I guess? Schools been pretty ridiculous. My moms with a guy that's just... Ugh. And Lucy and her boyfriend are doing okay."
He nodded again.
"Look, Cyrus," I started.
He looked up at me.
I could barely make out the features of his face in the only light there was, which was the full moon tonight.
"I'm sorry. I know what happened was my fault." I chewed at my lip.
He frowned and shook his head.
"You know it wasn't." He looked into my eyes.
"It was, and I'm saying sorry. I need this off my chest."

"Silver?" Micah called out.
Dammit. What an amazing time to now interrupt.
"Can we talk tomorrow maybe? About this?" I slowly got up from sitting and patiently waited for Cyrus' answer.
"Please?" I asked.
"Yeah, of course. Just text me when you want to meet up.
I picked up my shoes and gave a weak smile.
"Bye Cyrus, have a good night."
"Goodnight, Silver."

Running towards Micah, and bumped my shoulder into his, "hey."
"Where have you been hiding? I thought you wanted to go home?" He questioned.
"Let's go,"
"Put your shoes on. You'll get sick." He looked down at my socks, "smurf socks?" He chuckled and smiled. Then he began laughing at my expression.
I put my hand up. "Oh shut up," I laughed along with him. His laugh was, really actually contagious.
"Here," I squeaked when he picked me up and carried me to his car.
"Thanks." I awkwardly said when he placed me down into the passenger seat.

"So are you gonna tell me why you aren't wearing your shoes?" He finally asked that question when he pulled into my driveway.
"Angela puked on them." I scrunched up my face at the memory.
"Oh... Ew." He smiled at my face.
We sat in his car for about ten minutes.
"Uh, Micah, I sorta need you to carry me to my door."
"Right! Sorry. I forgot," he scratched the nape of his neck and laughed.

He carried me bridal style up into my house. Dodging my pleas to put me down.
"Micah!"
"What the hell is this?" Lucy was on the couch and was looking at us with a very disturbed expression.
Micah put me down.
"Finally! Thank you."

"You finally told her how you feel, bro?" Micah's brother asked while going over to my little sister.
"What are you talking about?" Micah coughed loudly and glared at Luke.
"What are you talking about?" I parroted Micah but without the loud hack he had done.
"Nothing." Micah shifted from one foot to the other with his stance.
"Alright?" I was slightly suspicious.

I took off my socks and tossed them into the laundry room and freed my hair from the high ponytail I had it in, tousling it slightly.
"Are you gonna stay for awhile? Maybe watch a movie in my room?" I questioned Micah.
He rose a brow, "Are you up for a thriller?"

I yawned and snuggled into my grey duvet that Micah and I were sharing on my bed.
It was playing and Micah was practically clinging onto me.
To say he was scared would be an understatement...
"You okay, buddy?" I was trying my best not to laugh, I mean--- I kinda knew he was scared of clowns...
I'm a mean friend, I know.
He glared at me and I started laughing, hard. He looked like a scared little puppy.
"I'll be right back, I'm gonna go make some more popcorn."
I tossed the duvet over onto him and ran out of the my bedroom, not waiting for his answer. Almost instantly, I could hear him behind me.
I hid behind the corner before he could see I did...
"BOOO" I jumped out when he was coming around.
"Oh my fuck!" A shrill scream sounded through the house.
For downstairs my mom yelled, "language!"

I fell, on the floor, laughing my ass off.
"You bitch," he said in a fake gay lisp making me almost pee myself laughing more.
He picked me up off the floor whilst I continued my fit of laughter.
"Not again! Micah, put me down. Now."
"Not until you apologize." I could almost hear the smirk in his voice.
Oh no... He's getting ideas...
"I, Silvia Green, apologize for making your inner girly girl come out."
I bolted down the stairs with a grin on my face but I could hear his quick padded steps following behind me chasing me.
