Finding Emmaleigh Blakely

Chapter 5

               Emmaleigh's POV

When I woke up the next morning, I was very excited to meet my new sister. I wanted to look perfect because as we all know, first impressions are everything. I got up and ate breakfast, I had scrambled eggs and two pieces of bacon. Yum! Bacon is my absolute favorite. I went into the bathroom to do my morning routine: First, I brush my teeth with my favorite toothpaste that is extra minty, you know, so my teeth defiantly won't smell. Then, I brush my curly hair, great now it's all poofy. Now what do I do? Oh I've got it! I'll brush it....AGAIN!! But this time, I'll put water on it, you know, to 'tame the lion' or tame the frizz. Next, I put on deodorant, again, so I won't smell. Now, I need to put my clothes on. I put on my gray shirt that says, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get." Because quite frankly that kinda sums up my life right now. I put on my black leggings and my grey Uggs. I texted Alivia to let her know I was on my way and called a cab to come pick me up. 

            Alivia's POV  

I got a text from Emmaleigh telling me that she was on her way to come meet me in our hotel room. I asked Sade if she would go out for a little while and she said she would. I was passing around my room waiting for Emmaleigh to come. Oh boy!! I'm so excited!! I heard a knock on my door and I immediately knew who it was, Emmaleigh.  YES!! The time has finally come!! I looked through the peep hole, you know, just to make sure I wasn't about to let a complete stranger in. Well, I guess she technically is a stranger, but you know what I mean. Of course, it was Emmaleigh. I let her in and motioned her to come sit by me on one of the beds. "So..." I said ending the awkward silence. "Well.." she replied. "How did you find me?" she continued. "It's sorta a long story..." "I've got time." she responded. OMG!! She is just like me that's exactly what I would've said!! "Ok, well so you know how today is like our birthday right?" "Ya obviously." she said kind of annoyed at the obvious statement. "Well, I kind of always like to look at famous birthdays that are the same as mine. The usual were on it. Such as, Ethan, Grayson, and Beethoven, but I saw one on there that I didn't recognize, that was you. I clicked on you and your picture showed up and you looked just like me. I decided to look you up and it said you were a YouTuber, so I went to your YouTube channel and I saw that you were having a meet up. Sade and I got tickets to your meet up, her in New Jersey. The rest is history." I explained to Emmaleigh. "Umm... Who's Sade?" she asked confused. "Oh, right. She's my best friend that I brought here with me." "So where is she now?" "Oh, um I asked her to go out, so we could have some time to talk alone." I explained. "Oh, cool." she sounded bored. "So, what about you? What are you like?" "Who me?" she asked confused. "Ya. You're the only one here, aren't you?" I asked worried that she'd brought someone here. "Oh, nope just me." "Are you sure about that?" I asked doubtingly. She didn't speak. "Come on, Emmaleigh. You can tell me if there is anyone here." "There's not." she said assuring me. "Ok. Oh, and you can call me Em, if you want." "Ok then, Em, you can call me Liv, if you want." "Ok Liv. You know what I want to do?" she asked. We both looked at each other for a second then both said, "SHOPPING!!!" at the same time. Then, we both laughed. "Let's go then!!" I said. We went to the mall and we went shopping at all of our favorite stores. After we went shopping, we went to get some frozen yogurt. We both got strawberry! We must really be twins after all! Then we caught up the twins. We all talked for a while before Sade got back. When she got back, we kept talking for a while before they all had to leave. When they left, I texted my mom to tell her that I met Emmaleigh today and she asked how she was. I said she was awesome and she should meet her sometime. I hope she can come back home with me to Texas sometime, so she can see what life in Texas is like. I try to imagine what my life would've been like if she was in it for all 14 years of it. I really want to get to know her and the twins more. Maybe I'll get a chance to do that tomorrow. I can't wait to see what tomorrow might bring!
