"Liv," Emmaleigh called from the kitchen, "Come here." She called I sighed as I rolled out of bed. I was so tired and so jet lagged. I can't imagine how Aaron is feeling right now because we are going through the same jet lagged problem. I went downstairs to the kitchen to find Emmaleigh sitting on one of the bar stools and Stacy standing be hind the island. Stacy gestured for me to take a seat next to Emma, and so I did. She talked to us about getting a brain scan to see what we remembered about our past. I was a little worried about getting a brain scan, but when Emmaleigh said that she was in, I just couldn't say no. When we told Stacy that we would do it, she immediately booked us an appointment for later this afternoon. Great. Just great. I had to get my brain scanned by some weirdo, I mean, who does that? I was not looking forward to this at all, but I just acted like I was to please the people who are allowing me to live with them. I mean, if I upset them, you can find me living on the streets for the next four years. I had to get ready and I had no idea of what to wear. I mean, what do people wear to these brain scans anyway? I just threw on some random comfy clothes and we were on our way. Stacy said that the brain scan place is a while away, so the car ride would be about two hours there and two hours back. Give or take a few hours depending on how bad traffic is. When we got to the brain scan place, we checked in and just sat there and waited and waited and waited. When finally, the secretary called for Alivia and Emmaleigh to come back to get our brain scans. Why does she even want us to get brain scans anyway? I was first because I am the oldest, being the oldest isn't as great as everyone makes it up to be. I sat in a chair that was rather comfortable and they hooked up all of these weird wire things up to my brain. Luckily, they had one chair next to mine, so they asked Emmaleigh to sit in it, so we could get our brain scans at the same time. They hooked her up to the wires and turned both of them on at the same time. I could feel the power of the wires inside of my brain then all of the sudden- I woke up. Why am I sitting in this chair with all of these wires hooked up to my brain? How did I get here? Why am I here? Where's Mom? I just want to go home. "What are we doing here?" I asked the lady working on the wires. "You don't remember?" I shook my head no. "Boy, that's rather odd, we have never had a response like this before." She explained to me, but I had no idea what she was talking about. "A response like what?" I heard a familiar voice ask. That was Emmaleigh, my identical twin sister. Not to brag, but I'm the oldest, by one minute. She is my best friend and I love her to death. "Like patients not remembering why they are here." The lady explained. "Where's our mom?" Em asked. "Just outside, let me unhook you two and then you can go see her." She told us. YES! I can finally get out of this weird and creepy place. We went back to where our mom was sitting and the lady told her the results of our brain scan. Mom said thanks and we were on our way. "What do you girls want for lunch?" Mom asked us. "McDonald's!" We both said in unison. When we got there, we saw two identical familiar faces, Ethan and Grayson. They came up to us and Grayson says, "Liv! I haven't seen you since you got back!" "Got back from where?" I asked confused. "Texas." He says in his 'duh' tone that's like duh you should know that. "Texas?! I've never been to Texas." I say still very confused. "Never been!? You used to live in Texas." He says. "Grayson, what are you talking about? I've lived here all of my life." I tell him. "Oh, Eth," He calls to tell Ethan something. "Remember our eighth birthday party? It was Texas themed and we dressed up as cowboy." "Ya I do." Ethan, Emmaleigh, and I said in unison. "What!? You weren't there!" Gray says looking at me. "Ya I was and I was the pink cowgirl. Even ask Em, she remembers." "Ya I totally remember. I also remember our eighth birthday party. It was princess themed." "Omg! That was a blast!" "Umm, Stacy? Why do they think that they have spent their whole life together when the only just met a few days ago?" "Oh, it was probably just a mishap with the brain scan." Mom explained. "Brain scan? What brain scan?" I asked confused. "Don't worry about it, sweetie." I did as my mom said and then I just chilled for the rest of the day. This was a good day, even if I had no idea what my mom was talking about back there. I guess somethings are just better left a mystery.
Author's Note:
This is today's update. Sorry it is so early, but this is the only way I could get an update up before tonight. I hope you understand. Oh and if that last part was confusing, the brain scan got messed up, so now they remember their whole life as they always knew about each other. The only problem is, no one else remembers it that way! Keep reading to see what adventures Alivia and Emmaleigh will go through next. As always, stay awesome!
