Chapter 16

Stacy's (Mom's) POV

Today I had to explain to everyone and yes, I mean everyone about the 'sisuation'. Did you like my play on words? You see, I took sister and situation and combined them together to make one swagilicious word. Oh geez, now I can see why the girls see me as such and embarrassment. I had to explain to their friends, their principal, their teachers,their peers, and family (ours and Alivia's) about them thinking that they knew each other their whole life because of that brain scan. I personally, preferred it to be this way because now there is no more awkward tension between Alivia and I. Also, honestly things were meant to be this way anyway. This was going to be very hard to explain, especially to Alivia's mom. She wouldn't remember her when she would get to see her again and I imagine that she probably won't take it well. I know I wouldn't if someone would tell me that about my child. What about their teachers and classmates? It will be like oh here's the new student and would you please act as if she was here all of your life? Thanks. That will be very complicated. I was not looking forward to this at all. The girls have a lot of friends, but at least two of them knew, Ethan and Grayson. They have grown up next to each other their whole lives and been best friends, even though they are exactly a year apart and not even in the same grade. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Alivia would want to date Grayson, he is a sweet, down to earth guy and I couldn't ask for a better son in-law. I know that might be kind of weird though, you know, with Emmaleigh dating Ethan. I mean, twins dating twins, who does that? Well if someone has to be the one to do that, I hope that it is Alivia. Anyway, I have to go talk to a whole lot of people and register Alivia for school because school will be starting back up in a few days from winter break. 

Grayson's POV

School will be starting back up soon from winter break and that meant the winter dance. I know that most schools have their winter dances before winter break and I don't know why our school doesn't. Anyway, that means that I will need a date. I was hoping to ask Alivia to the dance. I really like her, a lot, maybe enough to date her, but that would probably be awkward. I really wanted to talk to Ethan about it to get his opinion on this. I talked to Ethan about everything, I mean he is practically my built in lifelong best friend. "Ethan," I said while I walked through the threshold of his door. "Ya?" He answered in return. "Can I talk to you about something?" I looked at him, he looked at me and something didn't seem right. I could see it in his eyes. "I guess the real question is do you need to talk to me about something?" I asked him. "What do you mean?" He asked like he didn't have any idea what I was talking about. "Oh nothing. I just thought that something was bothering you." I said. "No, but what was it that you wanted to talk to me about?" He asked and he almost sounded worried. "I was wondering if you would think that it would be awkward if I asked Liv to the dance." I asked him worried of what his answer would be. "No, why would I ever think that?" He asked. "I don't know maybe because you are dating her twin sister and twins dating twins, who does that?" "Calm down, Gray," He started, "I'm sure a lot of people do that and don't be too hard on yourself. Besides, we can go on double dates and sike out all of the waiters and waitresses." He explained to me and that did sound like  a pretty fun idea. "Ya, sure, that does sound like a lot of fun." I said as I left the room.

Emmaleigh's POV

I was worried. I was not worried for myself, I was worried for my best friend, Liv. She didn't have a date to the dance yet and I couldn't let her go alone. I mean sure, if no one asks her I'll go with her that's what best friends are for, right? However, I really want to go with Ethan. I was hoping that Grayson would ask her, but if he was going to, he would have probably asked her by now, right? What am I going to do? I need to look out for my big sis. I knew I had to do something, I just didn't know what yet.
