Stacy (Mom's) POV
So today is the last day at beautiful, hot, and sunny California. The kids have decided to make today count. I have no clue what they are doing, but they will probably be going to the beach. I would go to the beach because I have not been the whole time that we have been here, but I would probably be an embarrassment to them. Well, I guess that I could go to a different place on the beach. Ya, I will probably do that. But first, I need to make the kids and I some breakfast to start the day off right. I decided to make scrambled eggs and bacon. I needed to go to the store because I only bought a limited amount of food so we didn't have to take any back home. I left a note in case the kids woke up and wondered where I was. The note said:
Kids,
I went to the store to buy things to make breakfast.
~Stacy (Mom)
It was simple, but it got right to the point. I thought that the kids would want to do the least amount of work as possible. You know, because they aren't at school and apparently you aren't allowed to do any work or any school related things outside of school whatsoever.
Emmaleigh's POV
I was excited because we are going to the beach today. However, I was also sad because today is the last day in California. I guess that you could call this a bittersweet moment. I went downstairs to see if Mom was making breakfast. If she was, I would help her with it. When I got downstairs, I saw a piece of paper on the counter. I went over to see what it was and it was a note from Mom saying that she was at the store and would be back later. I went back upstairs and got back in bed until I heard Mom come back home.
Alivia's POV
I went downstairs when I heard Mom come in the beach house. I heard some familiar footsteps follow behind me. They were Em's footsteps. "Morning, Em." I said without even looking back to see who was behind me. "How did you know it was me?!" She asked sounding surprised that I knew that it was her. I looked at her with the look that says 'we're twins, remember? I know the sound of your footsteps'. Then, she gave me the look that was like 'oh, ya, duh'. We can just look at each other sometimes and have a full on conversation. People usually look at us weirdly, but we don't mind because they don't understand. The only people who don't look at us weirdly are twins because I'm sure they have their own little secret 'language' too. That is, if you can even call it a language.
Stacy (Mom's) POV
"Morning girls!" I called happily. "Morning, Mom" They said at the same time and laughed. I laughed too. I love it when they say things at the same time. "Do you guys want to help me make breakfast? I asked them. "Sure!" They said again at the same time. After everyone ate breakfast, I stayed to clean up while everyone else got ready to go to the beach. I am going to the beach later after everyone else leaves to go.
Autumn's POV
When we got to the beach, I set out my beach towel that I tie-dyed. Liv, Em, and I all tie-dyed our beach towels last summer. We love tie-dying, we tie-dye something different every year in the summer. After I put down my towel, we all went to get ice cream. Em and I got chocolate, Liv and Ethan got mint chocolate chip, and Grayson and Cameron got strawberry. We ate our ice cream on the way to our spot at the beach. We finished them as we sat on our beach towels, watching the tides crash on the sand. "Psst. Hey Liv." I whispered to Liv. "Ya?" She whispered back to me. "Is that Mom over there?" I said pointing to someone who was a splitting image of our mom. "I think so." She said and when she turned around, it defiantly was Mom. "Oh great. What is she doing here?" I whined. "It's fine, Autumn. She is completely ignoring us. She isn't even looking at us. She obviously knows not to sit by us or she would be." Liv explained making me feel better. "Ya, I guess you're right." I admit. Which was hard for me because I hate admitting that other people are right. After I was done with my ice cream, I decided to go in the water and everyone followed me. I love these guys even though, sometimes they can be a bit annoying. I smiled. It's good to be alive.
Author's Note:
