Alex was simmering with anger. Her eyes narrowed at Tony Stark. She knew that he had killed Eliza, she also knew every one of the avengers.
" You shall pay, but not tonight. Tonight I shall grieve and we shall fight another time," Alex said with her head high and stifling her grief.
She turned her back on them, her head down and pulled her cloak good over her head.
" Are we going to let her just leave?" Thor asked.
" Nope," Hawkeye decided.
Thor hit the ground with his hammer and lightning zapped Alex. Visible electricity forked up along her body and arched through her veins. Alex stiffened.
" Got you now!" Thor laughed.
Alex turned to them, her eyes had the most deadly look in them that they had ever seen. She cracked her knuckles and continued to walk towards them.
" You want to play? Play with this!" Alex snapped.
She moved her hands in an odd motion and a blue ball of power formed between them. She let out a yell and he avengers were blown backwards. Alex leaped through the air and smashed in to Natasha. She punched and kicked in a whirlwind of movement. Natasha kicked and punched back but Alex blocked them all. Alex stepped backwards while fighting till she was pinned up against a large tree.
" I've got you," Natasha crowed.
Alex turned, as fast as a snake, ran up the tree trunk and flipped right over Black Widow's head. She kicked her in the head until Natasha lay still in the grass.
" Who's got who?" Alex snarled.
Captain America had worked his way behind her. With a yell he threw his shield at her. She caught the shield in her pale hand. With a sniff of distaste she threw it back so fast that it hit the captain and he fell, unconscious, to the ground.
" Clint, back me up," Tony yelled as he shot at her.
Alex clenched her hand and Tony was lifted off the ground, he let out a gasp as he tried the fight. He couldn't move, she had gained control of his suit.
" I wouldn't fight Stark, you have gained my anger and that is not a good place to be," Alex snarled with venom in her voice.
Suddenly she paused with a small gasp. She touched the spot in her side where an arrow now lay. Blood trickled from the wound.
" Well would you look at that," Alex noted with a smirk.
She yanked out the arrow with a blink. With a grimace she threw the arrow and it hit Hawkeye's shooting arm.
She threw Tony against a tree and ran.
" Thor, get after her," Tony ordered.
" I'm on it," Thor agreed.
Alex ran with grace, despite being wounded. She made no sound and left no scent. She skidded to a halt at the edge of a cliff and looked back. She saw Thor coming and jumped off the cliff with a wink. Thor was speechless, had she just committed suicide. A strange sound made him cover his ears. The sound of a screech. A great silver dragon flew upwards with a familiar figure on its back.
" Thor, meet Star Shooter," Alex cried as she flew around him.
Thor flew up to meet her.
" Stand down friend, this doesn't have to continue," Thor advised.
" You call me friend? I know who you work for, Shield destroyed my life so yes, it does have to continue because I  will never come with you," Alex spat.
They circled each other in the air. Alex never broke eye contact. She stood up and walked along Star Shooters wing with perfect balance. She pulled out a bow and arrow and aimed at Thor.
" Seems we have a stand off," Alex noted slyly.
Star Shooter let out a cry of pain.
" What is it my dear?" Alex asked. Star Shooter lurched again and started to sway.
" Easy girl, stay straight," Alex cautioned.
Out of the corner of her eye she saw something. As she turned to look she was greeted with a shiny mesh. A net. She toppled and was thrown off her dragon. With a scream she fell. Her struggling body plummeting through the air in a silver, power proof net.
" Hold on! I'm coming!" Thor yelled. He flew downwards, trying to catch up with her.
She fingered her dagger, trying to cut out of the mesh. She cut a small hole but it wasn't big enough yet. Tony flew out of no where and with his suit blasted at her.
" This will break that net!" Tony assured.
The blast tore away at the net, breaking the thin strands. Alex was free. With a cry of joy she unfurled a pair of large, dark blue wings. Tony and Thor stopped in amazement, this kid was full of surprises, but in the end, they need her alive but in chains.
Thor and Tony both nodded at each other and unleashed all their power at the same time. The energy combined and hit her in the head. She plummeted again. Tony caught her in his arms. Her head lolled against her chest and blood pooled form her arrow wound. Tony felt bad, even though they had completed the mission.
" Is it just me or do you too, feel horrible about this?" Tony asked.
" I feel it too. When we get back I want a few words with Fury before anything is done," Thor commented with a dark, regretful look in his eyes.
