" Should we wake her up?" Banner asked quietly.
He and Tony  stood inside her cell. Alex was curled up, sleeping peacefully inspire of the hard floor. Tony looked up at him, his eyes showed the distress that they were both feeling.
" Yes, she has a right to know," Banner decided.
He knelt down beside her and shook her shoulder lightly. She snapped open her eyes, surprise in her expression. With a jerk she sat up quickly, reaching for her sword that wasn't there.
" It's okay kid," Tony assured her soothingly.
She shook her head and stood up with a yawn.
" What has happened? It's the middle of the night," Alex yawned drowsily.
" Alex, we found your siblings and your mother," Banner informed.
Alex's eyes lit up so brightly it was like gazing at the sun. She grinned and became fully awake.
" I need to see them," Alex pleaded.
Tony nodded and they led her out of the cell and in to the conference room. She was practically bouncing in excitement. In fact, she was, her eyes were so wide she looked like an owl in training. They led her in to the conference room. Her gaze became confused and she turned to the avengers gathered there.
" Where is my family? I thought you said you found them!" Alex asked in confusion.
" We did find them. We also found this," Natasha murmured.
She handed Alex a long, medieval looking scroll. Alex took it slowly and unravelled it. The parchment unravelled and Alex's eyes roamed the page. At first she looked excited but then her eyes filled with something else all at once. Anger, revulsion, disgust, pain and utter despair. She dropped the parchment, the thin page fluttering to the ground. She sprinted away, her long legs speeding her out of the room. She was out of sight in a blink.
" What does it say?" Tony asked.
" We don't know. We figured it wasn't something we should read. I don't know about you but I will never be able to erase those images from my mind," Hawkeye said with a shudder.
They all knew what he was talking about. Eleven small bags had been brought back with them. Ten children and their mother inside. All were dead, shot mercilessly. The note had been in the hand of the mother. Alex's family were dead. Her father was not to be seen.
" Should we go after her?" Banner asked.
A huge crash echoed around them. A storm and exploded and the ship was being pelted by huge hailstones and lightning.
" Yes, I think we should," Thor decided.
" I'll go," Tony murmured.
Tony took the scroll with him as he searched for her. As he searched he saw a sort of black frost on the ground. He followed the substance. Finding agents shivering and staring along the way. This must be where Alex had gone. He called his armour to him. His suit came and he geared up. Following the frost through the corridors he found that it lead up to the air strip. He climbed up the stairs and opened a door to rain. Rain lashed in to his face, wind pushed him hard. He had to avoid lightning strikes as he went. A dark shape showed him where Alex was, outlined in the storm. She was kneeling down, her head in her hands. Tears streamed from her closed eyes, pooling in to her hands. Her body shook with sobs.
" Hey kid, please talk to me," Tony pleaded hopefully.
He put a Hanson her shoulder and crouched at her level. She slowly blinked at him, opening her beautiful eyes slightly.
" What was on that scroll? it obviously made you upset," Tony asked.
" You read it yourself. I can't be any more upset than I am now!" Alex snapped.
Tony slowly unfurled the scroll. Written in red were these words.
" Hello my daughter. It's me, your father.
I just wanted to talk to you about your siblings and your mother. They were a nuisance to me. Not anymore. I have closed a picture of them for you," Tony read.
A picture of eleven bodies filled the empty space.
" P.S, this was written in their blood," Tony read.
Instantly he dropped the scroll, he wasn't going to hold it anymore. Alex nodded to him, knowing what he felt. Tony was speechless, how could this have happened?
" I'm sorry, I don't know how this could have happened," Tony said sadly.
" I know exactly how! My father used to love me dearly, but then hydra changed him. Made him believe he didn't want me anymore. My life is ruined! I held on in the hope my family lived but they didn't, they died! It's time for me to forget about my stupid restrictions!" Alex snarled angrily.
With a scream a blue ball of energy exploded forth.
