Nick Fury made his way to the prison cell and looked through the unforced glass walls. At the moment she looked peaceful, sleeping soundly in her drugged sleep. They had thought it necessary to drug her in to a coma until they could come up with a solution for a restraining order. He knew it was safe and entered the cell with narrowed eyes. He might have the solution. He carried with him, a grey metal suitcase. He rolled her over so her face was pointed to him, her brown hair framing her face beautifully. If she wasn't so powerful she would've been a beautiful child, getting all the boys. He knew personally that she wasn't what she seemed. He had known her when she was endlessly kind, had a perfect family and a great life, using her powers to make sure her hometown was safe. He sadly also knew that it was his fault she was like this, full of anger, betrayal and sadness. He had driven her to this but he had to protect his hometown too, even if it meant destroying her life. He had just the thing to stop violent outbursts like the one that Banner had seen. What do you use to restrain dogs? A collar. He took out a black collar with a steady supply of anaesthetic embedded in it. The second her heartbeat rose so it suggested one of her anger episodes it would make her sleep and avoid disaster. He knew it wasn't right to have a collar on a human but this girl wasn't human, she something so much more powerful than a mere human. She needed to be kept isolated from the avengers, they would feel for her, try to get her out so she could be free, like they had longed to be as kids but if that happened it could mean the end of the earth. Of course Alex wouldn't intentionally destroy her own planet but Nick Fury had seen her do something, like Banner she could lose control to someone else inside of her. She could lose control and her power would become immense, if only she could control it, but she couldn't. It was for her own good. He decided to include a little gift, a punching bag, so she could vent on something other than one of his employees. With s slight moan she blinked open her eyes and sat up, shaking her head to clear the fog of sleep. The drugs had wore off.
" You've caused me a lot of trouble kid, that little stunt you pulled when we bagged you up was quite a show. I didn't know I you were that good," Fury commented.
Alex narrowed her eyes at him in distaste.
" My, my, I knew you were behind this Nick. Your attempts to keep me under control haven't worked yet," Alex commented back with a sly smile.
" Who am I talking to?" Fury asked.
" Alex Parks, the girl whose kindness you tore out long ago," Alex answered in a growl.
" No, I don't think I am talking to Alex Parks, I'm talking to the wolf, the one who rebels against its own self," Nick rebuked with a sniff.
" You caught me red handed. Or should I say red pawed? You know enough to realise that the last thing you want to do is corner a wolf," Alex laughed in a voice deeper than usual.
" No, I know there's someone inside that needs to make an appearance. You can't keep pretending that you don't feel anything, that you don't care what happens. I know you care, very much in fact. What happened to you two years ago that made you act like this," Fury asked in disbelief.
Alex shook her head and her eyes cleared.
" You want to know what happened? My family is in the clutches of hydra and you know it. Eliza and I were told to go, to find help. We came to find you but what did you do? You didn't listen, you said it was to dangerous and that I should just take my sister and go. You sentenced my family to their fate. All ten of my brothers and sisters and my parents are Locke duo as we speak because you didn't care! We couldn't get back without been seen. I don't know I where my family is, whether they're alive now or not. Nick, you came after me and locked me up in a chamber that was designed to freeze me forever but someone set me free. Eliza set me free. She saved me and I wasn't frozen anymore but you froze not just my body, but my heart. I learnt that I can't trust anyone in Shield, I can't trust humans, or the avengers. I learned that all you ever do is control people, you make sure they are winning your sights so that they can't do anything wrong. Now you expect me to feel better? You haven't helped your look in my eyes. You may have me in here but there is nothing you can do to make me stay here. You can't control me, I can't control me but if you helped me instead of trying to get rid of me I might be able to learn to control it. The hate and anger you have fuelled doesn't help my situation with control at all," Alex explained in her normal voice. She was in her normal self again.
" What I did was for your own good Alex. Your family are probably alive right now but I couldn't let hydra have you back. I couldn't let you get yourself known to them by breaking out your family. They would hut you down forever until you were one of their sick guard dogs," Fury informed her.
" This is the wrong way to go around it. If you let me out I would stay here, learn to control myself and we could go get my family together," Alex reasoned.
" I can't, you have to stay here for as long as it takes before your power is under control, until then there's nothing I can do," Fury sighed.
" I can't control it on my own, it is me! I can't fight myself," Alex cried in exasperation.
" Your going to have to try or else I might have to try other measures," Nick warned as he left.
He turned at the sound of her voice as he left.
" There's nothing more you can take from me now, I can't believe I used to trust you," Alex said with her hash pressed to they glass and her eyes brimmed with tears.
