Gamora groaned as she disentangled herself from her chair. Smoke filled the cabin and she coughed madly. Rocket and Drax were standing up with dazed expressions. Groot was staring at a flame burning in the cabin corner. She couldn't see Peter anywhere, through the smoke she couldn't see him anywhere.
" Gamora? Where's Peter?" Rocket grumbled with a wince.
" No idea, it's his fault we are stuck in this mess," Gamora grumbled back in reply.
Peter had decided he wanted them to see his home planet, he also just wanted to explore the world now he'd been gone for so long. Such a bright idea.
They'd been catching bad guys all over the Galaxy, tracking their energy signatures with new software that Rocket had created. Peter had decided they needed a break. Gamora couldn't believe she'd gone along with his stupid idea. Peter had flown their quinjet in to the earth's atmosphere and instantly the plane had reacted to the  strange new air and atmospheric pressure. They'd spiralled to the ground and crashed.
Gamora stepped around wreckage to where Peter had been sitting. She'd felt around until she felt his jacket. Hauling with all her might she dragged him clear of his seat. He lay groaning on the ground, eyes closed and covering his clothes.
" Guys, over here! Peter's hurt!" She yelled frantically.
Peter's whole side was covered in blood, a jagged piece of metal was sticking out of his side and blood slowly spilled from the wound.
" We've gotta get him help, I'll pull out the metal," Drax offered.
He knelt beside Peter and prepared to pull it out.
" No! No don't touch it, you'll make it worse by pulling it out, just leave it!" Gamora yelled as she turned to see him preparing to help.
" Well what do you suggest miss Gamora?" Snarled Rocket.
Groot put his long wooden hand on Rocket's shoulder to comfort him. Rocket was only worried. So was everyone else.
" Maybe there are people doing what we do here? We might be able to get some help there," Gamora suggested.
" At least that's a plan," Drax muttered.

Two hours later the guardians of the Galaxy had seen about as much new stuff as they could take. Everyone on this planet was so strange, doing strange things and saying the weirdest things. Everywhere they went everyone clapped and took photos of them. Thinking they were impressionists or some sort of live modern art.
" Why are they staring at us!" Drax asked suspiciously.
" Well we don't exactly fit in, what I'm confused by is why they aren't attacking," Gamora murmured.
Rocket was walking on his hands and knees, like a normal raccoon to blend in.
" This officially stinks," he snapped through clenched teeth.
Drax was busy thinking and bumped in to a young woman with bright red hair.
" Sorry," he grumbled.
" no worries," the woman said brightly.
The woman watched them walk in before talking in to her phone in a hushed voice.
" We have a problem Nick, four unidentified threats not from this world. Get the rest of the team down here immediately, I'll send you guys the coordinates," Natasha said in to her phone.

" Everyone get ready, we've got a mission for you!" Nick yelled as he wandered in to the room where the avengers were gathered, talking amongst themselves.
" Good morning to you too!" Tony said sarcastically.
" Shut it Stark. We need everyone on this mission, unidentified threats, four of them, all armed and being tracked by Natasha," Nick informed.
Nick stared at them all gathered together, once face was missing.
" Where's Alex? She better be here in two minutes!" Nick snapped.
Steve was about to say something before Nick interrupted.
" I'm going to get her out here by intercom!" Nick muttered.
" NO!" Cried Steve, grabbing the intercom button away from him.
" Just look at this," Thor invited with a small laugh.
Nick looked to where he was pointing on the security screen. It showed Alex's room.
Alex's room was a bombshell. Books were everywhere, screwed up paper lay strewn everywhere, Alex was fast asleep with her head on her desk and books all around her. Her hair was sticking up in strange places and a finished assignment lay in front of her.
" Oh, I get it now," Nick murmured.

Alex blinked open her eyes with a yawn, she was so tired aft the night she had had. With a small sneeze she stood and smoothed back her wild hair with her hands. Walking out of her room she hard talking and walked through the door in to the common room. Everyone was assembled, gearing up and checking weapons.
