" Sir, there's someone in corridor seven," a young agent informed.
He was looking at a red dot on his screen. Nick Fury hurried over and looked at the screen.
" You're right, I can see the heat signature, and everything but I can't see the person," Nick commented in confusion.
" Everything adds up. There is definitely someone in that corridor and they don't register with any shield personnel," The agent explained.
" I'll get someone to take a look," Nick decided.
" Agent Haley, Agent Franksen, go in and take a look at corridor seven would you?" Nick ordered.
" Sure thing sir," Agent Haley said over the intercom.
The agents walked in to the corridor cautiously, their guns up and ready.
" Sir, we can't see anything. No one is here," Agent Franksen muttered in to the radio.
They watched them on the video screen, making sure no one really was there. The agents were looking around but they were gesturing to the security camera with shrugs.
Then Agent Haley fell to the ground, out cold. Agent Franksen stared at his friend in surprise, clearly with no understanding of what was going on. Then he fell too, some one had attacked them, but they couldn't see any one.
" Sir, if I may, I think we may be dealing with an invisible attacker, it's been done before," The young agent murmured.
Nick Fury nodded.
" We have to assume the worst. If this attacker really is invisible then we can't see them attack. Get the avengers on call," Nick fury ordered.Quickly the avengers were called up, their faces filled the video screens from where they were.
" Avengers, can any of you trace an invisible foe?" Nick asked, getting straight to the point.
They all shook their heads.
" That's great! there is one in corridor seven and they're moving closer. We can track the but we can't see their attack. We need to get this undergo," Nick informed them, annoyance in his tone.
" I don't know about you but have you tried asking Alex?" Natasha asked.
" No, we haven't yet. Do you think she would help us? After all, the enemy could be trying to get her out," Nick asked.
" I don't think so, corridor seven isn't anywhere near the cell block. Alex will help us, knows he will," Hawkeye reasoned.
" I'm with Alex right now but she's out cold," Tony said urgently.
" Well then wake her up some how!" Nick ordered before shutting off the call.Tony bent down beside the limo form of Alex. He looked at Banner who was beside him.
" Banner, any suggestions?" Tony asked.
Banner shrugged his shoulders.
" I've got none," He said.
Tony shook Alex's shoulders, trying to wake her. Alex muttered in her sleep and shifted but didn't wake.
" Hey kid, we need you. I know you had a hard night but please wake up for us," Tony urged in a quiet voice.
Alex shifted again as he touched her shoulders. He tried something else. He put his hands under her back and forced her in to a sitting position. Her head lolled forward.
He sighed, what could he do. He opened her eyes but it didn't work either. Then he remembered something, she could hear much louder than humans because of her wolf senses. He tuned his suit to make a high pitched sound. Alex shook and her eyes snapped open. She clutched her head and made a low whining noise. Slowly Tony turned off the sound and Alex stared up at him.
" What?" Alex asked sleepily, her eyes already drooping closed.
" Oh no you don't," Tony scolded gently.
He helped her so she stood, it was harder to sleep if you were standing up.
" Hey, stop that," Alex muttered quietly.
" Kid, can you track someone who is invisible?" Banner asked.
Alex yawned.
" Yes, I can," she answered.
" Could you fight one?" Tony asked hopefully.
" Of course I can, I can hear their movements," Alex answered in a dopey voice.
" Well we need you do do just that," Banner told her.
" Of course I can," Alex assured them.
" We need you to attack now," Tony explained to her with urgency.
" Every time I have full moon trouble I'm exhausted for the entire day after, my powers are uncontrollable," Alex told them, seeming slightly more awake.
" Can you still fight?" Banner asked.
" Yes, of course I can," Alex answered.
" We can help you can't we?" Tony asked her.
" If you can see invisible people than yes, if not then you're in danger. Where is this person?" Alex asked.
" They are in corridor seven last we checked," Banner said.
" Let's go then," Alex said.
" Are you awake enough?" Tony asked.
Alex walked forward and then smacked straight in to the glass of her cell. She fell back and landed on the floor. Slowly she picked herself up, eyes wide and alert.
" I am now," she growled.
