"Spies, today we will be training for a mission coming up." Officer said. "We will need two new members and two older members. Rina, Stan, you will be helping," he stopped and turned in my direction.

I knew what was approaching and I was not sure I was ready for it. I had only been through ten days of training.

"Riley and Danny. This is Riley's first mission, you all need to be extra aware of what is going on. This is not like training. Things that happen during this mission are real. Treat them like they are and you will be fine." he finished.

We changed into our active wear and paired off into two's to begin to training at different stations. Danny and I started at the punching bag.

"So," I punched. "Do you think," I punched once more. "We can handle this?"

"The way you are training? No."

"Danny."

"What?"

"I thought we were friends."

"Wha-" he started." "I am and as your friend, it is my job to tell you that you are bad at this. Not just bad, you are completely, incredibly, seriously-"

"I get it." I stated. It was not that he was wrong. Every time I hit the punching bag it moved no more than an inch away. "If you can do it so well, why don't you try it."

"Don't mine if I do." Danny walked up to the punching bag and knocked it at least two feet away with one punch.

"Okay, you're stronger than me."

"It's not about how strong you are. Just focus and put as much into it as you can. Come on, do it again."

We trained in each station and when we finished at the last station, it had been four hours.

"Do you really think I'm ready for this?" I asked Danny as we walked to his car. It was 9:00, but the crickets were already started the to chirp, adding to the silent lonely feeling of the night time. It was cool out, which was refreshing and reassuring, but I still felt I needed to ask about my acceleration at Spy Academy. Ten days was hardly enough time to start a real mission.

"Riley, don't stress about it. It's okay, you'll do fine."

"What if I mess up?"

"Then we will mess up together and Rina and Stan will probably take the rat for it."

"That's encouraging."

"Don't worry. It will be okay." he laughed.

I got home at around 10:30 and decided to sleep. The mission wasn't until Saturday, but if I went to bed now, I'd spend less time worrying.
