I told Kelli about everything including what happened when I met her at the diner. We sat in silence for a while. Neither of us knew what to say.
"Wow," Kelli finally stated. "So, you're a Spy."
"Yeah."
"Like, hanging from a wire, crime fighting, action girl?
I laughed. "Something like that. But I would say action girl. I went on my first mission a couple of days ago and I didn't go well."
"That's why you couldn't hang out with me."
"Yeah, but I don't want to be a Spy anymore."
"What happened on the mission?"
"I'm not allowed to talk about it, but," My eyes began to water. "I don't want to do it anymore."
"Okay, don't cry. Whatever you choose, I'll stand by you."
"Thanks, Kel."
"Hey, you wanna go to Baskestburger?"
"Actually, that would be great."
