I think... I'm in love with my mistress

Chapter 1

I stare at the beautiful cherry blossoms. They fall ever so gracefully, descending to the ground. I gaze at the fascinating scenery, taking it all in. Spring is most certainly my favourite season, the clear sky, crisp fresh air, the trees blossoming. It's breath taking. As I walk up some stone stairs, I end up at a worn down building. Looks like a shrine, but it can't be, it's too broken to be the shrine of a god. And why is a run down shrine like this in the centre of such beautiful trees? Being the very curious person I am, I decided to check out the shrine. Up close it looked even more smashed up, the wooden pillars were hardly holding up the building, the sliding doors had holes all in them and the floor boards were in pieces. What a dump!

Just before I turn to leave, I see a young girl walking up the stairs. She looked beautiful, brown hair, brown eyes, slender body. She was wearing a school uniform. She must know something about this shrine. "Um excuse me! Miss!" She glances at me with a smile. I continue to speak. "Do you know anything about this shrine? It looks so broken down, but why?" She giggles and replies. "Well, this shrine is the residence of the Land God,   But it seems she has decided to leave the shrine to find someone good enough to replace her." I look at her confused. She approaches me and lowers my head slightly, planting a kiss on my forehead. "From this day forward, you are the new Land God. I leave all my responsibilities and privilege to you now. Farewell." And with that she disappeared down the stairs and into the busy street. Wait, I'm the new what?! This can't be happening!!! Am I dreaming? Cuz if I am, someone please wake me up!
