Chapter 21

Reader P.O.V

Tomoe was finally awake, but I don't think he was happy to see Kurama. I was surprised to see Kurama myself, but my suspicions instantly went away when he explained what he was doing here...

Flashback to earlier this morning

I was lying in my temporary 'bed', sleeping peacefully. I then suddenly heard a loud crash coming from outside, I instantly jolted up. I looked towards the door, seeing a shadow outside, even though it was still only early. I stood up and walked over to the door, sliding it open. And to my surprise I saw Kurama, lying flat on the stoned ground.

"Ummm, hello?" I said, looking down on him. He lifted his head up, his grey eyes pierced into me.

"Are you ok?" I asked, he just glared at me. I rolled my eyes and approached him, kneeling down at his level.

"Do you need help?" I asked, he looked extremely irritated. I huffed and grabbed his forearm, pulling him to his knees. He looked away, mumbling something.

"What was that?"  I asked, cocking my head.

"Thank you (Y/n)....." He muttered again, I couldn't help but smile.

"So, the reason I came here was to check up on you... Just wanted to make sure you made it home safely..." Kurama stated, looking straight into my eyes, I gulped.

"How did you know I lived here?" I asked, kinda confused and suspicious. He flicked his Crimson hair out of his face before answering.

"Oh, well, I saw that you had the Land God mark on your forehead. So I assumed you lived here, with Tomoe."

"You know Tomoe?" I asked, leaning against a wooden pillar, my eyes narrowing on him as he spoke.

"Yes, me and that fox have had a deep history together." He gruffly commented, his eye twitching whenever he talked about Tomoe.

"A deep history huh? That's cool, what a small world we live in." I giggled. I looked back at him, I then noticed the scratches on his cheek and nose.

"Oh no, your hurt. How'd that happen?"
He just let out a low growl.

"I tripped over one of those small statues..." He scoffed, pointing to the little stone statue behind him, I couldn't  help but laugh slightly. He just growled in response.

"Come on, let's get you cleaned up." I suggested, standing up and offering him a hand, which he gladly took. We then headed inside.

End of flashback

So after that I cleaned up his wounds, nothing too serious, just a couple of minor scratches on his cheeks. Not too longer afterwards, Tomoe woke up, not seeming too impressed.

"Well, thank you for having me (Y/n). It was nice, I hope to see you again some time. See ya." He said, standing up. I suddenly grabbed his arm out of instinct, I didn't want him to leave. He just got here after all.

"No, please stay. I'm about to make breakfast, I assume you haven't eaten yet right?" I hastily asked, I could feel Tomoe's gaze burn into my head. He didn't like the idea, but I didn't care.

"Sorry, I would love to stay longer but I must be going. I have to attend school today–"

"School? Which school?" I blurted out. He smirked.

"I go to the school just in town, not far away from where we met." He bluntly stated.

"I go to that school!" I excitedly said. His eyes widen, but then he smiled. Tomoe's gaze burned deeper into my head.

"Well, how about we get going then? I'll let you get changed and get your stuff prepared." He gestured for me to go get ready, I jumped up and ran into my room.

Tomoe P.O.V

Once I was certain that (Y/n) was out of hearing range, I grabbed Kurama by his shirt and brought him close to my face.

"What do you think your doing here?!" I growled, Kurama had a big grin on his evil lips.

"I was just making sure she got home safely, don't want her to get abducted do you?" He smirked, I just hissed at him.

"But now that I think about it... Since she goes to the same school as me, I can walk her to and from school all the time." I jerked him closer, my eyes narrowing on his grey ones.

Just as I was about to say something I could hear footsteps coming to the kitchen, I quickly let go and lean against the dinning table.

"Ok I'm ready, let's–"

"I'm coming with you." I bursted out,
(Y/n) just stared at me.

I can't let Kurama be around her, I need to keep an eye on her and him...

"Oh umm... Don't you need to take care of the shrine?"

"It'll be fine, it's my first priority to look after you. So I'll be accompanying you at school." Kurama's lips curled into a snarl, I just smirked. I transformed my ears and tail away and fixed up my clothing into plain jeans and a white long sleeved shirt.

"Oh umm ok, let's get going then." She said, looking kinda confused.

I won't let her out of my sight...

Sorry this chapter is short, I've been busy with school and homework and all that annoying stuff, I've been really tired over the past few days and my brain has been a mess, hope you enjoyed this chapter anyway ':)
