Chapter 6

The Sun's warmth radiates onto my skin. I start to wake up, but something isn't right. I open my orbs slowly and see Tomoe, laying next to me sound asleep. What.....the.....hell?!?! I instantly jolt out of bed, staring at the sleepy fox. "T-T-Tomoe!" I yell and he immediately jolts up and his head whips side to side. "What?!" His eyes land on me and they go from confused to anger. "What is the matter you lowly human?" He sits up straight and glares at me. What's his problem?!? He was the one sleeping in my bed!!!! I cough and then wait for a moment. He gets my hint and looks around the room, my room. "Oh............." His face turns pink and he coughs. He stands up and turns towards me. "Um I'm very sorry. I don't know how I ended up in your room. If there is anything you need, you know where to find me." Before I could respond he swiftly leaves the room. Hmm. I wonder why he was sleeping in my room? He looked kinda cute in his sleep. He looked peaceful, not like the usual Tomoe who is always pissed off about everything. I wonder.........should I do it tonight?

I get changed and start to get ready for school. I was fixing up my hair when I notice Tomoe standing in my doorway. "Hmm. Is something wrong Tomoe?" I ask, I fix my fringe and pivot around to face Tomoe. He glances up at me, he approaches and pulls at my school shirt. "What is this? Some type of costume?" I try to hold my laughter, but utterly fail. I burst out laughing and he looks at me puzzled. "What? Was it something I said?" He cluelessly asked. I regain myself and look at him. "Oh god Tomoe. This is a school uniform, it's what you wear to school dumbie." I playfully punch his arm and he still looks confused. His eyes widen. "Oh. This was something Lady Nanami did, must all humans go to school?" I nod and he sighs. I grab my school bag and head to the door, Tomoe was blocking the way. "Um. Tomoe. Please move." He stepped to the side and I smiled at him, softly patting his head. "Well I'm off to school, see ya tonight!" I grin and run out of the shrine.

I sit at my desk eating my lunch. Groups of people piled in one classroom, all talking and joking around. I smiled and my friend asked how I was doing. "Oh yea I'm fine, why do you ask?" She sits next to me and places her chin on top of her palm. "Well ya know. Since the accident happened you haven't acted normal. You have been less talkative and you shut yourself from the world. But now you seem to have regain your true self. I'm glad, we're all glad." She grins and pats my back. Yea. I guess I'm fine. That accident really did mess me up huh?...
~~~FlashBack~~~
"Hey (Y/n)! Can you pass me my bag?" I grab the bag and pass it to Amy. Amy is like my best best best friend. We've been friends since we were born. Amy was the type of girl who is shy when you first meet her, but once you truly know her she is very very outgoing. She speaks her mind and isn't afraid of anything, that's why I liked her so much. She was a great friend. That afternoon Amy, my parents and I were going out, since it was my 12th birthday. We were driving in the countryside when suddenly another car swerves into the front of our car, then another car slams into the side of the car. All I remember that night was screaming, flashing lights and the sound of breaking glass. Before I knew it I woke up in hospital, bandages all over me. I had a tube on my mouth which was hooked up to a machine, probably to help me breathe. I called one of the nurse and asked what happend? She gulped and said, "Well you were in a car accident. Your parents unfortunately didn't make it but your friend is in this hospital as we speak. She has fatal wounds and internal bleeding. She has a slim chance of surviving, I'll inform you when I have any more info about her." I nod and excuse her. Soon after that I fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of people shouting. It was dark outside, what's happening? I get out of bed and stand in my doorway. I saw nurses and doctors shouting and running all over the place, down the hall the doctors were wheeling someone. "Quickly get her to the emergency room!" "Round up all the doctors, ASAP!" "Hurry! Before it too late." I get a glimpse of the patients face. My eyes and mouth widen.
It was Amy. Her face was all bruised up and she looked like she was in great pain. Her arms and legs hand bandages and blood flowed out of her mouth. I covered my mouth and fell to my knees. A nurse noticed me and told me to return to my bed, I did as I was told and instantly fell asleep.

I woke up to a nurse shaking me. I wipe my eyes and yawn. "Um.... I'm sorry to tell you (Y/n)... But your friend. She was sent to the emergency room because her heart stopped, they didn't make it in time to save her........." No it couldn't be. "Sorry but she's dead." I stare at the ceiling. This couldn't be. First my parents and then my Best friend..... Why is the world so cruel!!!!! That day I cried none stop, my eyes swelled and my breathe shortened as I screamed for Amy. She couldn't respond though, because she was dead. She is dead....
