I'm sorry that these past few chapters are quite boring :P

Kurama's P.O.V

"Yeah she's at my place."

It went silent on the other line, the only sound being the soft breaths of (Y/n) in the background.

"If you even lay a finger on her I swear, you won't live to see another day"

I rolled my eyes at Tomoe's angered protesting.

"Ugh you're such a worrywart! I swear, are you secretly my mother or something?"

A loud vexatious sigh filled my ear, causing me to pull the phone away from my ear.

I gave Tomoe a moment, in the mean time I checked to make sure (Y/n) was still asleep.

Yep, fast asleep.

I placed the phone back onto my ear, only to hear annoyed huffing.

". . .hate you."

"Hmm? What was that?"

It goes silent.

"Did I hear that right? You hate me?"

I have to bite my lip in order to hold back my laughter so that it sound like I'm genuinely upset, and it works.

I hear a sigh after a long minute of deadpan silence.

"No. . . I don't hate you. Sorry I'm just super frustrated at the moment, there's no point talking to you about it though."

He said and I could actually feel his stress through the phone.

"Oh dude, don't be like that. If you wanna vent out some stress then. . .maybe you should talk about it? I'll listen, I swear."

It goes silent once again and for a moment I thought he hung up, until he sighed for the billionth time.

"If you insist, but the moment you make a snarky remark I'm hanging up."

I snickered at his comment as I sit down on the couch, getting myself comfortable because I had a feeling I would be sitting here for a while. . .

". . .and with (Y/n) being brainwashed by Akura ou into thinking I'm a traitor, she won't even talk to me, so it's really frustrating. ."

Tomoe had been talking to me for the past two hours, all his worries and stress been passed through the phone and into my ear. (Y/n) still lay asleep in my bedroom, or at least I assumed so. I haven't left the lounge room once to check on her.

I hummed to myself as I thought, the memory of talking to (Y/n) yesterday flooded my mind.

"Oh, I just remembered, (Y/n) remembers who I am,"

I happily cooed, crossing my legs.

"We talked yesterday and she remembered meeting me in town yesterday, but unfortunately that's all she could remember. I swear her memory will be regained once again."

I announced, hoping that good news would lift his spirits. The room falls silent.

"She remembers you? What about Mizuki?! Me?"

He frantically bursted out into flustered questions, his voice gradually growing louder.

"Whoa whoa Tomoe, calm down. She remembers Mizuki partially, she didn't say anything about you."

I glance at my fingernails as I harshly stated the truth, there was not point in lying to him.

"Of course. . . Of course she remembers you and Mizuki, but not me. . . I'm just a traitor in her eyes."

His voiced dripped with sorrow, I could see his face grimace and contort into a disgusted expression through the phone, his eyes glazed with anger.

"I need to fix this."

"How? How are you going to fix this mess?"

Silence.

"I'm going after Akura ou, don't bother looking for me."

He rasped.

"Wait wha–"

A low tone rung in my ear, signalling that the call had ended.

"Tomoe. . . What are you thinking?"

I muttered to myself as I heard the rustling of bed sheets coming from the other room.

"Kurama?"

(Y/n)'s light voice murmurs from behind me, I shove my phone into my pocket, standing up and smiling bright.

"Who was that on the phone?"

She asks as she shuffles towards me, rubbing her tired eyes.

I grin and sit down again, patting the vacant space next to me. (Y/n) nods and scurries to my side.

"It was a friend of mine, his name is Tomoe. Do you remember him?"

(Y/n)'s peaceful expression grimaced into an annoyed and resentful face, her eyes narrowed and her teeth began to gnaw on her bottom lip.

"Oh him. I know him, he's a monster!"

She crossed her arms and growled.

"He's a traitor and a killer."

"Why do you say that?"

She glances at me, pure hate in her eyes.

"How could you not know?! He killed everyone who had the littlest bit of happiness, including my parents."

What? No he didn't. . . Right?

"Why would you believe–"

"That doesn't matter! All that matters is that we never talk about him again, please."

And with that she storms out of the room and back into the dark bedroom.

I sigh.

I wish you luck Tomoe.
