WARNING: CURSING

I was eating lunch with Thomas by the Deaheads. "So. How are you and Newt?" Thomas asked. "We're good." I lied, taking a bite of my sandwich. The truth is, we're anything but good. Newt has been ignoring me for the past two weeks. All I get is a 'Yeah', 'Nah', or 'I'm busy'. It was driving me crazy.

"Y/N. I know that's a lie." Thomas said. Was it that obvious? I thought. "C'mon. What's wrong?" Thomas said looking at me with sad eyes. "He's been ignoring me. It's really bothering me. It's like he doesn't care anymore." I said, tearing threatening to spill from my eyes. "Aw, Y/N. I'm sure he still cares. Newt loves you more than anything in the world." Thomas said. I smiled at him, but I didn't dare to say anything else, otherwise I would be a crying mess. Thomas pulled me into a hug. I hugged him back. "Thanks, Tommy." I said. "No problem, Y/N," Thomas replied. "I have to go. Minho needs me in the Map Room." Thomas said. "Ok. Bye." I said. "See you later." Thomas said and he walked off.

I walked over to the garden's and started working on a plant. Ever since I almost got stung by a Griever, Newt made me stop being a runner and work with me in the gardens. "Where have you been?!" Newt yelled angrily. Great. First thing he says to me in two weeks is yelling. I thought. "I was eating lunch with Thomas. And who are you to ask me where I've been? You've been ignoring me for the past two weeks!" I yelled back. "It hurts, Newt. It shucking hurts. You don't care for anyone but yourself. Sometimes I wonder why you asked me out in the first pla-" I was cut off by a stinging sensation on my cheek. He hit me. After he promised he would never hurt me. "Y/N- I-I didn't mean too." Newt said, a tear slipping out of his eye. "Save it. I wish I never met you. I hate you!" I yelled. I ran off into the direction of the maze. Fuck the rules. I don't care if a Griever gets me now. I thought. "Y/N!" I heard everyone yelling. I saw the walls were closing so I squeezed through the doors. Great. What the hell did I get myself into? I thought. I decided I would walk around. Cause right now, I seriously felt horrible. I couldn't believe Newt. How could he. He said he would never hurt me. I slid down the wall and sobbed quietly. I heard the familiar sound of the clanking of metal. I got up and ran as fast as I could, trying to keep my eyes open. I could hear the Griever behind me. 'On second thought, let's not die.' I thought. I sprinted until I couldn't hear the Griever's metal legs anymore. I let out a sigh of relief. I felt myself slowly drifting off into sleep.

When I woke up, the sun was shining in my eyes. I got up, dusted myself off, and ran back to the Glade. When I got there, the doors were wide open.

I ran into the Glade, and was immediately tackled. I felt someone kissing my face all over. I looked up to see Newt. "Princess, I am so sorry. I will never hurt you again. Please. Give me another chance?" Newt said, getting off of me and helping me up. "Of course. I love you." I said. "I love you, too." Newt, smiled.
