I was walking down the halls of the castle when I heard a voice say, "Queen Alexandria!" Oh god I thought to myself. It was Takeshi. Was he going to blast my head with more information about demons? I turned around and said, "hello, Takeshi". "I have something I'd like to give you!" He said. Just then, Takeshi handed me his crossbow and all of his bows, the ones with the red tips. "Takeshi, you don't-" I said, but I was cut off when he said, "you don't understand, your highness. This crossbow and these arrows are a certain weapon that can kill the demon knight because they are dipped in blood, and the prophecy says that you are the only one that can defeat him! So please, take this" he said.
"Wait...prophecy?" I asked. "Yes, the prophecy! It starts out with you killing the demon knight, then tells about your children! And Ryia's, of course!" Takeshi said. "My WHAT?! Takeshi, what the hell are you taking about?!" I said. "Their is a prophecy, a prophecy about the demon kings defeat!" Takeshi said. I took a deep breath. "Their is?" I asked. "Yes, the royal children will bring him to his demise!" Takeshi said. I stared at him in disbelief. "Sorry Takeshi, but I'm not planning on having kids anything soon" I said. "Whaaaaat?! But you must, mod the prophecy will be changed, and that could be bad, it could be very bad!" He said.
"Look, I'm too exhausted to hear about an entire prophecy about some kids that aren't even born yet. Thanks for the weapons, but I'm going to sleep" I said. "Alright, sleep well your highness!" Takeshi said. He bowed, then ran away. "Damn....I told that kid too many times to count to call me Alexandria" I said to myself. I rolled my eyes and walked upstairs to my room. As soon as I walked in, I collapsed on my bed. "Well, I'm guessing that you've had another long day" a voice said. I opened my eyes to see Aaron standing over me.
"Oh...hey Aaron" I said, yawning and stretching my arms. Aaron laughed and said, "it looks like we won't be talking for long tonight." I shook my head and sat up. I rubbed my eyes. I was exhausted, but I couldn't loose time with my husband. "No, I'm wide awake" I lied. Aaron smiled and sat next to me. He put his arm around me, and I smiled. Just then, I saw something for the corner of my eye. Someone was on the balcony. I looked through the glass doors to see Simon. He was panting, and holding his side.
I gasped, and Aaron looked my way. We stood up, and I slowly walked towards the balcony. "Alexandria, don't! He's dangerous!" Aaron said, but I didn't listen. I slowly grabbed the handle and opened the door. Simon looked weak. His skin was pale, and their were purple bags under his eyes. "I'm not here to hurt you, I swear" he said. My eyes widened in shock. Could I believe him? "And why are we supposed to believe that?" Aaron asked. Simon lightly smiled. "I don't expect you to, but it's the truth. I need to warn you" he said.
I slowly took a few steps towards him. "Warn us?" I asked. Simon nodded. "Yes, especially you, Alexandria. I should probably tell you something. It's about the Demon King" he said. I lightly gasped. "You see, all this time I've been under the Demon King's control. All of those evil things I've done, it was never me. I'm sorry for all of the pain I've brought to Talahan, and especially to you. Please....forgive me" he said. I stared at him for a while. "Uh...it's alright" I said.
"Alright....now about the Demon King" Simon said. He looked at me with fear in his eyes. As soon as he gave me that scared look, I knew he wasn't lying. "Like I just told you, he's been controlling me this entire time. But you see, he's not interested in controlling me anymore. I've come to warn you. Alexandria, his next target is you" Simon said. I lightly gasped, and Aaron put his arm around my waist protectively. "I don't believe a word your saying. Alexandria, you can't trust him!" Aaron said, looking at Simon, then at me.
"Aaron, I believe him" I said. Aaron lightly gasped. "He's lying Alexandria! He's probably working with the Demon King, and this is all a part of his plan! He wants you to trust him" Aaron said. "No, please! I swear, I swear I'm telling the truth" Simon said. I looked at Simon, then at Aaron. "He's not lying Aaron. I can see it in his eyes. I've had that same terror in my eyes before" I said. Aaron didn't respond. He only stared at me with a blank face. Then, he took a deep breath and looked away.
I slowly walked towards Simon. "Alexandria, be careful around him!" Aaron said, but I ignored him. "Are you alright?" I asked Simon. He nodded. "Yes, it just took a lot of effort to get here. The Demon King tried with all of his might to stop me, but I refused to be influenced by his dark magic again" he said. I nodded. "You need some rest. Come, I'll find you a room" I said. "Theirs something else I need to tell you" Simon said, ignoring what I just told him. "Huh? What is it?" I asked. Simon looked at me with eyes filled with pain.
"It's about my little brother, Terrin" he said. "Terrin? What about him?" I asked. "You haven't seen him in a while, have you?" Simon asked. I thought about it and realized that I hadn't seen Terrin in a while. "Yeah, I haven't" I said. Simon looked down at the floor. "I'm sorry to tell you, Alexandria, but.....you have t seen him because he's joined forces with the Demon King" he said. I gasped. My heart was pounding through my chest. "But...why?!" I asked, my voice cracking from the pain in my heart. Simon didn't respond for a while. After a bit, he finally said, "envy". "Envy?" I asked.
Simon looked at me, right into my eyes. "He was jealous" Simon said. "Why? What is his reason to be jealous?" I asked. Simon looked at Aaron, then back at me. "He loves you, Alexandria" Simon said. I lightly gasped again. "The Demon King to,d him that if he were to join forces with him, that your heart would belong to him. You see Alexandria, Terrin did this because of his broken heart, because he loves you" Simon said.
Terrin joined the Demon King. My best friend had turned against me. My heart ached in pain, in heartbrokenness. He was gone. Terrin was gone.
