It was an unusual to fight alongside Simon, since I used to fight him myself. And may I say, with the two of us fighting together, we were practically unstoppable. We combined our powers during battle, and we defeated hundreds of enemies with just one blow. Talahan was winning, it was more than obvious. "This is just too easy" Simon said as we killed over two hundred enemies at once. As he said that, it got me thinking. "Your right...the Demon King is obviously planning something" I said. "Ah, don't worry about it. He's probably just got the stronger enemies in the back" Simon said. I nodded in agreement. Even if their were stronger enemies, Simon and I could defeat them in a second.

After a little bit longer of fighting, I saw someone in the distance. It was Terrin, fighting against Talahan. "Terrin" I mumbled. Simon looked my way and smiled evilly. "Well, go on ahed Alex. Fight him, get your revenge" he said. "I will, and don't call me Alex" I said. "Why can't I call you that? Oh yes, I remember now. That was Terrin's name for you, wasn't it? It brings back memories that you don't want to remember, right?" Simon asked. I didn't respond. We kept fighting the enemies around us. "Simon....I'll kill him if I have too, I just want to let you know that" I said after a while.

"Hmm? Why?" Simon asked. "Well, he is your brother after all" I said. Simon didn't respond for a bit. "He's not my brother...not anymore. Terrin is t the person he used to be, and he will never be that person again. You know it's true" he said. I didn't respond, even though I did know it was true. "I...I have to fight him. I have to" I said. Simon waved his hand and destroyed fifty enemies with a gust of shadow. "Then go ahed. I can manage on my own without you" he said. I nodded. Then, I unsheathed my sword and ran towards Terrin.

As soon as I got close to him, he finally noticed me. His eyes widened when I charged towards him. He blocked my attack with his iron shield. "Alex...what are you doing?!" Terrin yelled. A tear streamed down my cheek as I attacked him again. Terrin dodged my attack. "Alex!" He said. "Y-you betrayed me! You betrayed everyone! Your the enemy now!" I said. I launched many attacks at Terrin, but he dodged them all. "Alex, it doesn't have to be this way! We don't have to hurt each other!" Terrin said. Another tear formed in my eye. "You've already hurt me, Terrin" I responded. His eyes widened in sadness. Then suddenly, their was anger in his eyes.

"If that's really what you think, then I have to destroy you, even though I love you" he said. I shook my head. "You don't love me. You don't know what love is" I said. Anger radiated off of him. Then, he charged towards me. Our swords clashed against one another's. We fought for what seemed like a million years. It was hard to fight against my best friend. As I fought him, memories came back to me, like when we would go horseback riding together, and when we would sit in the woods and eat bread with butter and jam. I remembered when we first met.

Terrin looked different back then, he was strong and young. Now, he seemed like he aged a million years, and his eyes were bloodshot and evil. This wasn't the boy who was assigned to protect me then later became my best friend. This was someone else. What had Terrin become? He wasn't being controlled by the Demon King. He had joined him on his own. Had love really caused Terrin to go insane? We fought for the longest time. I didn't use any magic, for it wouldn't be fair against our duel. Then out of nowhere, Terrin swung his sword against my stomach. A large gash appeared across my stomach. Blood oozed from the wound.

I coughed blood and placed my hand on my stomach. I fell to my knees, panting for air. I couldn't breathe. Terrin looked down at me. Their were tears pouring down his face. "Alex....Alex...I never wanted to hurt you....but you've given me....no choice...." He said. Terrin lifted his sword, ready to kill me. I closed my eyes. As I closed them, my life seemed to flash before my eyes. I saw visions of Rowen and I playing together as children in the garden. I saw myself begging him to go outside of Talahan. I saw the day when I first met Aaron, and after that, the day when I met Ryia and Terrin. I saw all of the fond memories with Aaron, and all the fun times I had with Ryia and Terrin. I even saw Leo, he was as happy as ever.

I saw the wedding, and shortly after, Takeshi making me weapons and talking about demon lore. Then most of all, I thought of my love for Aaron. We would never start a family, never live a long and happy life like we were supposed to. I had ended up just like father and Rowen. Betrayed and killed. But when I thought my life was over, Terrin's sword was suddenly blocked by someone else's. It was Simon, coming to my rescue. "Ha, you won't kill Alexandria, not if I can help it" Simon said with an evil grin. Then, Terrin and Simon began to fight.

In the middle of the fight, Simon looked at me and waved his hand. Then suddenly, my stomach began to heal. In a matter of seconds, I was completely healed. My life wasn't over, thanks to Simon. But healing me distracted him. Terrin slammed his iron shield into Simon, causing him to stumble backwards and fall in pain. "Your foolish, big brother" Terrin said. Terrin raised his sword, ready to kill Simon. But before he could, I made a battle cry and charged towards Terrin. Then without knowing what I was doing, I slid my blade into his heart.

Terrin dropped his sword. I kept my sword in his body for a minute before pulling it out. Terrin fell onto his knees. Blood seeped out of his mouth. He collapsed onto the ground. His body was limp and motionless. I had done it. I had killed Terrin. I killed my best friend.
