Believe it or not, Kirsten felt everything. She felt it when they yanked her out of the stitch and even when Cameron's lips pressed against hers while he did CPR. It was the worst feeling in the world. Knowing this was it. But the saddest fact was she never told Cameron how she felt. It felt like she was being electrocuted, mostly from her consciousness being jerk out of a degrading brain. Once she opened her eyes, she was enveloped in complete whiteness only hospitals would be familiar with. But the room Kirsten had found herself in had an angelic touch to it also and the only question running through the blonde's mind was:

"Am I dead?" She questioned out loud.

"Not yet, Little Darling." A very familiar face began to approach her and tears filled her eyes.

"Cameron?"

"Shush. It's gonna be okay. We're gonna figure this out Cupcake." He took both of her hands and his fingers intertwined with hers.

"What if we can't? What if I-" She began to stutter.

"You're Kirsten Clark. You're invincible."

"No I'm not. If I was so "invincible" I wouldn't be dead."

"You're not dead, Kirsten! Stop saying that!"

"Then what is this place? How am I here? What happened to me?"

"I don't know Sunshine. You must of create this world in your mind as a personal version of Heaven. But I can tell you that you're not finished yet."

"So does the real Cameron know that?"

"You know me Sparky. I go crazy when it comes to protecting you." His thumb grazed her cheek and he gave her a gentle smile. He knew one thing though. This might actually be the last time he talks to his Princess. So he was going to make the most of it. He leaned in and caressed her face with his hand as their lips met in sync. It was a innocent kiss and they both had butterflies that erupted from their stomachs.

As they pulled away, he turned away. The neuroscientist couldn't risk Kirsten seeing the tears flooding his eyes.

"Cam?"

"Yes, Stretch?" He managed to get out.

"It's time to talk about everything."

They laid Kirsten down in the medical bay and placed an IV into her veins. As Ayo and the rest of medical team hook up the of the medical equipment, Cameron stared Maggie down.

"Why are we doing this? I thought you declared Kirsten died from drowning in the tank?"

"Remember Marta? She went into a coma after her "incident" and I figured the same happened to Kirsten." Maggie reminded the brunette.

"I think Maggie's right. She was floating on top of the water. I checked the footage from the lab cameras and she only went underwater 3 times. And each time she went under it was less than 30 seconds. When the stitch went crazy, she began to seize from staying in too long after. But it doesn't look like a lot of the water got into her system, so drowning is pretty much of the question." Ayo explained.

"Well how did she die then?" Linus questioned.

"You won't have to look far." Camille gasped with widen eyes. Kirsten's heart monitor began to show an steady heart beat and Kirsten's chest began to rise.

"No freakin' way." Cameron blurted out.

"Kirsten!" Cameron ran to Kirsten's side and grabbed her without the IV injected into it. His finger slid in between hers as he looked up at the rest of his of his co-workers. "How is this possible?"

"When it comes to this lab, you have to have a lot of faith in miracles, Dr. Goodkin. I think we've seen that time and time again." She told the neuroscientist with a gentle smile. She was right. If miracles didn't happen they would all be dead today.

"Now we're gonna give you some privacy. Ayo will be on call if anything goes wonky with Kirsten. Please call. Understand?" Maggie questioned with suspicious eyes.

"Understand." Cameron whispered. As they escaped from the medical bay, it was just him and her once again. Cameron squeezed the blonde's hand and let out a deep breath.

"Why did you stay in so long, Princess? Why?" He managed to ask. Then he lightly kissed her hand and never let go.
