"Why did you stay in so long Princess?" Cameron questioned with tear stung eyes.

"Sit." The stitcher ordered. The brunette did as he was told and listened attentively.

"It was an accident, Cameron. I swear. I know I pull stunts on you all the time, but this was an accident. I don't know what happened. I'm so sorry." She explained as tears filled her eyes. Cameron stood up and slipped his fingers through hers. He squeezed her hands reassuringly, reminding her everything was going to be okay.

"This was an accident Ace, you can't blame yourself for that." The neuroscientist reminded her.

"And you know what the worst part was?"

"What?" He wondered.

"We never talked about me stitching into you. I never got to tell you that after I stitched into you, I realized I really loved you. And that's what really killed me. It never seemed like we were a team again."

Cameron was silent. He wanted to muster up some words to heal all wounds but he couldn't. He couldn't save himself from the rushing pain coming towards his heart.

"Mind blown." He was shocked. Why couldn't he have just asked? He wondered all this time what she saw but he wanted her to tell him when she was ready.

"Yeah. Burying the inevitable truth is dangerous thing, Cameron. I wish we didn't avoid our love at all costs." Kirsten locked eyes with him and her thumb rubbed tiny circles onto his arm. After moments of painful silence, Kirsten began to walk away. As she walked away, Cameron noticed a light. Like the bright white light that people walk to when they're going to die. His anxiety shot up within 3 seconds flat.

"Kirsten!" He yelled chasing after her. She continued to walk towards the light he wasn't sure if she could see. "Come back!"

As she turned back around, he looked back at that same place where the white light was. It was gone, thankfully.

He ran up to Kirsten and gave her a bone-crushing hug. "We're still partners, aren't we Stretch?"

"Of course we are, Girlfriend." They continued to hold each for awhile. Then Kirsten look back up into Cameron's eyes. "But maybe if I wake up from this coma, we could be something more." They both leaned in and his lips hovered hers. "I love you so much, Stretch." His fingers ran through her hair. Then he just let himself go. Their lips met and it was like heaven. His hands traveled around Kirsten's waist and Kirsten wrapped her arms around Cameron's neck. They deepened the kiss, and finally she wished that she wasn't so close to death. Because she wanted this to be real. She wanted to truly feel his lips against hers in the real world instead of a comatose dream state.

As they broke apart, Cameron continued to gaze into the blonde's eyes."I would love to be something more, Sparky."

"Great. Because I love you so much Cameron." Kirsten admitted as her face turned scarlet.

"I knew you weren't as emotional void as everyone thought you were." Cameron joked as tucked a loose strain of golden blonde hair behind her ear.

"It's gonna be okay Stretch. Trust me." He told her as he kissed her lightly on the forehead.

"I do. I trust you."
